Austin 3:!6 Posted January 24, 2020 Posted January 24, 2020 Kohli was skipping almost every t20 series at home. He also skipped an high profile tournament like Asia cup. Before world cup, Virat used to play high profile LOIs and test matches only. But suddenly after June 2019, he has hardly skipped any match. Let it be meaningless t20s vs SL or an insignificant ODI series against Aust just 5 days before an NZ tour. Except the BD T20s, Virat Kohli has played every game. Not that I am complaining and its a good sign but why this drastic change? Scared of losing captaincy to Rohit? Lost bargaining chip and leeway after world cup? Or simply with Dhoni gone now, he feels more responsible to guide youngsters? Discuss. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk nevada 1

This WT20 could be his last chance. Rohit may take over in T20 if Kohli fails to deliver yet again. That's his fault, with CoA he was taking everything for granted & everyone else including the fans for a ride! Nah, you give him too much credit
The Dark Horse Posted January 24, 2020 Posted January 24, 2020 Scared of losing captaincy to Rohit? Probably in the back of his mind... Lost bargaining chip and leeway after world cup? No...he still has clout Or simply with Dhoni gone now, he feels more responsible to guide youngsters? Lol no T20 worldcup round the corner may also be a reason. Vijy 1
Ankit_sharma03 Posted January 24, 2020 Posted January 24, 2020 He wont win wc so he needs his win % to save his captaincy. sscomp32 and sergio04 2
Adamant Posted January 24, 2020 Posted January 24, 2020 Ohhh... Yet another controversial tactic by the cunning captain kohli. He will destroy indian cricket. He already destroyed our golden fast bowling culture now he wants to destroy our batting culture too. Itti si baat dimaag mai nahi ghusti kya ki world cup 2020 pe poora focus hai ab isliye uske preparation ki wajah se matches nhi chhod raha. Bas controversy theories banao baithke. He also needs to prepare he aint a robot.

Didn't he miss Asia cup just few months before 50 overs world cup? This has nothing to do with upcoming T20 world cup. Kohli need not bash hapless Lankan bowlers to get ready for a world cup 10 months later...lol. It is crystal clear that his attitude has changed after June 2019 and no longer taking Indian cricket for granted, which is a positive sign. Edited January 24, 2020 by Austin 3:!6

He missed asia cup bcoz world cup wasnt the only thing in his sight, there was a historical test series before that where he had to prove his mettle and he was playing overseas continuously since a long time so that rest was completely justified.
ganeshran Posted January 24, 2020 Posted January 24, 2020 He doesnt want to lose LOI captaincy to Rohit Austin 3:!6, nevada and sscomp32 3
Sachinism Posted January 24, 2020 Posted January 24, 2020 Maybe he wanted a break? No, it can't be something straight-forward. Let's make a conspiracy out of it
putrevus Posted January 24, 2020 Posted January 24, 2020 What a moronic topic, add this topic to ever growing moronic topics about Kohli.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Vilander Posted January 24, 2020 Posted January 24, 2020 T20 WC -> T20 international Indian team captaincy -> IPL monies --> its always lucrative and players will give a lot of importance to it its business end all test is the best format etc aside this is business end. Monies $$

No continuity, no clarity on role, no consistency in selection criteria. Just whatever comes to mind until the next brilliant idea comes along. He is obviously scared of losing captaincy, so he is guarding his position by playing every series. He will play a series even against Zimbabwe if the BCCI would be kind enough to arrange one.
