gill is also an average fielder ..

sundar is below avearge ..

shaw is worse among the younger lot

Gill too drops catches. So does Iyer. The catching percentage of these players need to improve. Dropping catches in Ranji or other domestic tournament can go unnoticed but while playing for main team it will always draw question marks.

The odd dropped catch is okay; everyone drops the odd one. The issue with Shaw is that he does not even tries to put a dive or get closer by running fast on the boundary. The intent he showed yesterday was totally pathetic.

Ye to unkil lag rha hai...How old was when he moved to Mumbai?? Biharis by default add a few years to their DoB.

No...he looked his age when he first came on the scene. Has aged very fast. Could it be some medical problem. It is not just fitness, the hair loss and age is showing on his face. He is a very young guy age wise.

Missed yesterday's match, must have done badly. Anyway for a 1D cricketer like him least he can do is work on his fitness. Also if he is smart he should strive to develop himself into a safe slip catcher, one doesn't need to be superfit for that role and we have vacancies. For white ball formats needs to try to own a position in the 30 yard circle, at the very least become a safe catcher, if he can hit the stumps regularly a bonus. When it comes to running between wickets intelligence, game awareness, proper judgement and loud/accurate calling are as important as speed/stamina....he is never going to be a Kohli but he can at least hide his deficiencies, present a workable solution.

Been a pattern these days to see young people having male pattern baldness. Even taking in some medicines can be one of the reasons. Wonder what he is taking, he was taking something which he shouldn't have and then was axed for a year by BCCI. We don't know what he exactly took - whether it was cough syrup as mentioned or something else.  But young kids taking any medicine these days or going crazy on protein intakes is a worry. They endup trying a lot of other BS stuff which they shouldn't be taking.

This is one of the negative sides of trying to get fit or look ripped.

Kis angle se lagta hai ki shaw takes medicines to get fit or proteins? No one who takes proteins or fitness medicines looks like him. He is all soft and pudgy and fat

Read again, never said he did.

Many have been concerned about his slowness, him getting bald and looking older than his age, someone who looked really young just an year or two ago.

Agree about Shaw's lack of effort.

But in general, the lights, esp in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, seem like they are really affecting deep catches.

Most Indian players in general have been abysmal in IPL this year.

You can very well see that by who guards the boundary lines. It is mostly done by Foreign players like Pollard, Faf, Boult, Cummins, Rabada etc etc
