Yes, but whom would you drop, Shaw ? who is equally good and a recognized opener, whilst Gill is a make shift one, almost.

When Mayank started he was compared with Sehwag for his aggressive approach. Same way Prithvi is also thought to have shades of Sehwag. We have two Sehwags opening.

Shaw for his complete lack of fitness. While fitness alone should not be the be all and end all in cricket, Shah’s case isa fit one to send the right message. Lack of fitness could actually be limiting Shan’s performance. Better to correct it now, than later.

Continuity is needed among youngsters. ODI series vs NZ now test series and if Possible ODI series vs SA to.....

This atleast will give them decent amount of opp and if they fail atleast we will have that assurance they were given enough chances. Continuity will also let them relax n play to their best
