Tendulkar vs Steyn at his prime in 2010/11 and Dravid vs scary English attack of 2011 are examples where they did not thrash the bowlers but used their old school batting approach to negate the attacks. its not just technique kohli has good technique as well, but temperament. Dravid once defended 50 deliveries after an ungamely Sachin dismissal just to be sure he had bowlers on both ends changed. Sachin once *ing stopped offside cut on way to his 240 so that he does not get out for 300 *ing deliveries as he was out of form. lol. That is a beautiful mind. How did we come to this 'unoriginal fake - pseudo liberal insecure brat' ? To be honest, let's cut Kohli some slack. Kohli is your modern day cricketer, so there are many differences in mentality when compared with the 1990s batch of Ganguly/Sachin/Laxman and Dravid. The way Kohli hit Mitchell Starc for huge six down the ground, never seen Sachin do that. But what Kohli generation is not good at will be playing boring cricket. In some cases domination doesn't work, so you have to play boring cricket to tire the bowlers. Link to comment

Meh he's played much better shots at all levels, when it comes to shot making he has no parallel And this was in his 19th year in intl cricket Nonbeliever, AuxiliA, raki05 and 4 others 1 6 Link to comment

R!TTER
Why does he need to & FYI you don't flick yorkers for six. A yorker by definition would land at the toes so the deliveries you're talking about are either low full tosses or balls falling just short of yorker length, KL & RGS among others hit such balls for fun including that flick six you're talking about. raki05 and nevada 2 Link to comment

If I am not wrong even Robin Singh flicked a 154 kph ball of Lance klusner for a six which landed outside of stadium. Link to comment

I absolutely love the straight bat defense he plays at the 3rd ball. The man was closest to batting perfection if there was ever one. Most Indian fans even now couldn't fully appreciate what they had been given with regards to Sachin Tendulkar. NameGoesHere
I'm reaching a stage in my life when watching Tendulkar batting videos is a nostalgic treat, a melange of intense sentiment and pleasurable memories, but with a tinge of sadness at its passing. Remembering his batting is like a Ghalib couplet flowering in your memory, sad, beautiful and expressing the inexpressible. Saala budhe ho gaye, BC.
