DeVilliers must have thought of his retirement keeping this imminent circus in mind. ICC needs to show some spine & preclude disaster of African cricket.

Lauda transformation, should have been gradually incorporated starting from lower levels instead of forced. I mean that is the reason behind exodus of talent and declining results, and as a result loss of public interest, sponsors. Their politicians and admins are sacrificing cricket for political reasons. But I have hope, Proteas won't become like Mugabe's Zimbabwe, may suffer short term but not a basketcase country yet. They won the highly competitive Rugby WC recently with a black captain and rugby is the whitest sport in that country. Still a good enough economy, top class cricket infra and school system, growing 'black' middle class and blacks are into cricket, abundance of talent and sporting culture, proud fanbase/media who expect excellence.
