Government is not gauranteeing it.

These reforms have happened in many countries with the devastating result of small farmers being wiped off. They know that and that is why they are protesting.

Are you for real

As thousands of farmers continue to protest at various borders of the national capital demanding the repeal of three new farm laws, the government on Wednesday proposed to give a "written assurance" that the existing Minimum Support Price (MSP) regime for procurement will continue.

The government also proposed to make necessary amendments on at least seven issues, including one to allay fears about the weakening of the mandi system.

Every person I talk to who are pro protest not one wants to read or learn what the issue is ...they don’t even know what the reform is in reality ...and they know they won’t have an answer after ...

it’s better to take great headline of social media on poor farmers and keep re - twitting or putting them on stories ...

Well farmers are not convinced they are sincere and that is what matters.

I have mentioned it before I will negotiate but I cannot speak for the farmers. I think farmers can bypass Tomar and Shah and directly negotiate with Modi who will be reasonable/

Short story from Gujurat

We had a poor family who took care of my grandmother . When she passed my father gave this family land and a little house . Today the mother is in her last stages so I called the son . We talked about the protest and to my surprise he started telling me how Modi is looting the poor and giving it to Ambani and adani ...

I asked him can you tell me how you are paying for hospital bills for your mom . He told me they receiving help from government . I told him you know who passed the scheme that is giving you this money ...had no clue !

This is reality of India ... power of social media and media ...unfortunately imho the farmers are wasting a great opportunity . But Modi hate by people is putting India’s progress in the back seat.

Gujrat is a highly Industrial state. Their models are not valid for not so advanced a state as UP and Punjab.

Until the "farmers" follow due process of law and challenge the bills in court without acting like thugs nothing is going to happen.

Also, nobody has given real challenges to the laws - only hypothetical scenarios which may/may not happen. If the farmers could go back to what they are supposed to do - farming - challenge the govt's laws and provide actual solutions to things that would better their lives - people would take them seriously.

Until then I think I can speak for the majority of the country where these folks are taken for fools manipulated by the opposition and others with an agenda.

Dont call it Modi hate. Mistrust yes, hate no. Even I cannot bring myself to dislike Modi because I think he is a nice person. The way he carried out this legislation and rushed it questions his commitment to the farmers.

You clearly said government are not guaranteeing MSP . That’s why they are protesting .

I gave you a fact : government willing to give written assurance .

your comeback is farmers don’t feel it’s sincere . So you still back the farmers ?

or the switch has turned on for you at least that yes the current government did propose a valid solution and the farmers should accept and go home and enjoy their MSP . Because if the bulb is not lighting up for you let me tell you there’s no hope for the bulb to turn on for those farmers .

Greta's leak shows something interesting. It says messaging  must be "evergreen" as this struggle will continue even if the law is repealed. So it is not about law afterall. Govt is in lose lose situation, protests will continue in the name of legalizing MSP even if the law is repealed.

Atleast I condemn vandalizing Gandhi statue. Sith lords like you idolize Godse and claim he is father of nation.

See, both Gandhi and Godse are two ends of Hindu spectrum. One represents how much Hindu is ready to accommodate on negotiatinng table no matter how unreasonable the opposition is for sake of peace and humanity.

While Godse represents Hindu is a human too. If need be, he will give ultimate sacrifice for the nation.

You need to read about Godse. He was very well educated person and his reasoning is equally unrefutable considering the circumstances

Cant you see it is a coordinated protest? Well organized with lot of funding and get the global support using UK and Canada? They orchestrated the January 26th to force a riot so that police will act and shoot. If they had shot even one, #askindiawhy was ready to get the global attention. https://www.askindiawhy.com/  Imagine what would've happened if one person died by shooting, govt had to deal with huge international pressure. Fortunately , govt had an inkling and police got all the beatings but didn't shoot and allowed them to takeover the red fort.

Now this protest will continue regardless of the farm law, causing inconvenience, blocking roads, burning buses and mobile towers. The moment govt acts with strong hand, this will be used to bring the division between Sikhs and Hindus.  WHole agenda is to provoke Sikhs to show that govt is anti sikh, and use that to sead the Hindu -sikh division. Protests will continue even if the farm law is repealed, Govt may play wait n watch game, but local people who are inconvenienced day in and out will not be quiet. THis may cause riots, and govt has to bear the brunt of anti minorities. Govt almost repealed the law by willing to amend almost all the provisions, yet these protestors are not agreeing. They'll change the goal post even if it is repealed once they taste the blood.

Anyway, this leak has come as blessing in disguise. I hope hindu farmers will not associate with sikhs and will be willing for a compromised solution.

Doesn’t take a genius to see even after all the offers made : written assurance , amendments etc ... they are not budging because the leaders have another agenda . Yet some posters here still can’t connect the dots ... they are too. Busy connecting dots with RSS BJP etc...

Even if blood boils looking at the Red Fort incident. The gov saw this coming and one bullet would’ve sent this spiralling to another level. No one talks about cell towers damage yet they complain about internet cut while posting on their cheap Jio plan , the weapons carried by protestor status quo ...

Beside making India a laughing matter it’s not serving any other purpose.how long will it take to wake the f up!!!
