Kohli - hardik's bowling gave us balance in SA n ENG tour

After this, I wouldn't be surprised to see Pandya being asked to stay back for tests. Kohli has this habit of doing exactly opposite of what he says in PCs.

Atm, got  used to SDP  .... Also goes with the movie “Don”, whose theme music can be used .... In terms of batting, I see him batting more with the WI flair and attitude of Viv Richards (one of the batsmen I admire)

His batting in ODIs and T2OIs contribute at a totally different level than in tests. I hope people realize that. They hope his IPl and T20i fireworks can be done in Tests consistently.

Playing two test series vs 5 test series is a big difference. Even India would have won in England in 2014 series if it was 2 test series. SL winning that series is not a big deal at all.

 

Pandya if he made to open in T20s will not have same success forget test matches.

Under Kaptaanji, we got thrashed in a 2 test series in NZ. Does not matter if it's a 2, 3 or 5 test series in SENA, under this captain-coach duo, we will keep losing all away series even when most of these home teams are at their weakest and we are supposedly at our strongest and have the greatest ever Indian test team (as per our coach saahab). Messed up team selections and very poor strategic and tactical decisions have been a hallmark of his captaincy in away test series.

Who says teams are weakest at this time. NZ is at their strongest, so is England.SA when Indian played last was very strong home team. Where are you getting this notion that home teams are weakest.

 So called great captain Ganguly's team lost 0-2 with Sachin the great in the team. What is your point. Messed up selection are not the reason for those losses, it is other players not performing upto the standard is the reason for those losses.

 

So called Talented rahul was made to stinkin five different continents for two years. No TM management can be more patient.

but ur not selecting him as a batsman , he goes in as a value cricketer who can bowl

If their is a flaw in his game for test its hard hands which even Dhoni had so overseas he was also inconsistent but super in subcontinent .....he made added his value with keeping n captaincy (only in subcontinent though)

 

When he went to SL he made 100 and made runs under collapse even against Afghanistan

 

its very tough for 4 bowlers to bowl 90 overs a day unless 2 are spinner so its not that tough but overseas its only 1 . Why do u think aussies were hell bent on mitch marsh or NZ play CDGH ....u need bowlers to bowl at full steam but they wont if they have to bowl extra overs. In Sa n ENG 5th bowler was lil underused coz of low totals but when total was high in 5th test eng kohli was looking around for that option. 

 

Pandya can only get in test side if he is bowling or else as batsman he cant

I was joking about the bits and pieces part dude. In fact I have said multiple times Pandya the LOI player is one of the first 3-4 names I would put in my team as an allrounder.

 

After this series I am Sold On his ability to play as a pure bat.

 

Still doesnt make it to my test team.

 

I am pretty sure I have been consistent on this from day 1 since his debut . Only thing I have changed my opinion on is Pandya as  a pure bat in LOI’s. He has made me a super fan, was always a fan of his batting but then again I do enjoy Afridi or Maxwell bat as well.

SDP can be successful in the tests too .... avgs 60+ in the subcon w/ a 100 in SL, a 90 in SA, and a 50 in Eng (in a test he won with the ball for Ind. Even in the first test in Eng, he was taking Ind to a win (was the last man out on 31 due to lack of partners) Link . In his brief tenure, could have won Ind 2 tests in Eng (instead of one)! ....  Overall, has 1 100 + 4 50s in only 18 innings, most of which played in challenging conditions .... It is Ind's loss to keep such a player out
