From hero to zero in one game. Many here hyped him up in the previous test match. When everything works out, the captain looks good. When not, you look ****. Tbf both Kohli and Rahane are **** in different ways.

In the hindsight.

The way Ashwin bowled first 2 tests it wasn't a bad move to give him more overs.

Jadeja got to bowl more today once he started looking more threatening.

Though Saini was clearly underbowled yesterday.

Giving more overs is different. Giving only 3 overs in 2 session is like part timer treatment.

Rahane has to do better job in rotating bowlers, he overbowls three bowlers and underbowls two of them but those two pick 6 wickets.

Somehow plans didnt work today. I guess our plan would have been Pujara holds one end and other bat around him, Vihari runout and injury to pant didnt help. 

 

I really want to see how he uses Saini and Siraj today.

Kohli would have never picked Pant with Saha in the team, despite 36 all out. Nor would he have picked Gill, Siraj or Saini. Instead, Shardul and Nattu would have made their test debuts

Rahane needs to take charge of his batting and build a strategy to achieve a decent score and put Australia under pressure, while one batsman continues his Tuk Tuk... He shouldn’t get bogged down, go to a shell and thus put pressure on the batsmen to follow...

He needs to understand that he cannot stall the scoring and convert a winning match to a struggle to draw. He should take his inspiration from the innings he played in the second test where he didn’t got bogged down like another batsman and did quick scoring and managed to get a match winning lead...
