Rahane captaincy watch thread

No matter how much shoddy his batting has been for last few years, in his 5-6 opportunities his captaincy has been on point. From giving debut to Kuldeep Yadav in Dharmshala to opting for Ashwin early at MCG. Who thinks Kohli would have bowled Ashwin within 10 overs into the match?

Looks like he is getting input from Ashwin but running the show himself.

Impressive so far, except the post lunch decision to keep Bumrah out..who knows what could have happened if he was brought on instead of Siraj.
Other than that, I think he Jinks has done his job for the day.
We will see tomorrow as to what he wud do with the bat now

We also dismissed aus at adelaide for 190.

Rahane seems to be  tactically so better than Kohli...BTW ....what is the dumb ass fielding    coach doing?  Moments like 'Wade dismissals' keep on repeating...

To do it in MCG is way bigger.  Adelaide is generally bowler friendly & that was pink ball.  Lolli opened the field against Tail & was clueless drop catches didn't help either.  Rahane was calm & MCG is batting paradise in Ist inns..  Some field placings were indeed great.
