ash Posted April 4, 2021 Posted April 4, 2021 BJP/ADMK masterstroke today with full page ads resembling actual news. Unethical but very effective. Too late though
Stan AF Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 Absolutely delightful to see mango mani struggling to defend his pro CAA vote.
ash Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 (edited) Final prediction based on what I gather from sources both in DMK and ADMK 1) DMK is going to win, the question now is the margin. 200+ is slightly possible with Anti BJP wave and OPS-EPS rift ( believe me it is there, OPS ground level cadres basically stopped campaigning in many places). But I am predicting 140-160 for DMK to keep my expectations low 2) ADMK - BJP alliance closed any chance that ADMK had of closing the gap. Many of my friends said they would have voted for ADMK without BJP alliance. Pretty sure BJP knows that, this election is just to drive ADMK to the ground so that BJP can become the second biggest alternative in 2026. 3) BJPs idea is to basically use the next 5 years to dissolve ADMK, MNM to make 2026 as BJP Vs DMK. The idea is good, just that they are underestimating the need of a good local leader. If they repeat 2026 with same tactics ( campaigning with Modi, Shah, yogi etc) they will never win. They need someone to represent TN BJP ( definitely not Annamalai ) There are also rumours that Vijay is laying th ground work, arguably the star with the biggest fan base in TN. 2026 may very well be Udhayanithi Stalin Vs Vijay . Interesting times ahead Edited April 5, 2021 by ash

G_B_ Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 If bjp absorb the admk then they will use 2026 to consolidate coming second. This means getting around 30% of the vote. They will look to ally with ammk and pmk to secure that position. From that point yes they need to project a leader. I personally welcome joseph vijay into the fray. Will cut minority votes. Makes the job of the bjp easier. Huge dmk vote cutter.

Rajini was a costly miss.
BeautifulGame Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 @G_B_ Based on what I saw in the last week here in Aravakurichi and Dharapuram both Annamalai and Murugan have a decent chance of winning as far as BJP are concerned. Murugan in particular is doing really well in Dharapuram than what the media are portraying. His biggest issue currently is taking the lotus symbol to the voters in rural areas. Most of the friends and relatives I spoke with actually think Murugan is favourite to win . Though Annamalai still a fare shot being here in Aravakurichi , has done decent field work. Initially thought he might lose massively but now has narrowed the gap significantly. It also helped Annamalai cause that most of the DMK functionaries in Aravakurichi has actually left Aravakurichi to work for Senthil Balaji in Karur. So even if he loses could a close one. P.S: Both Elango(DMK) and Annamalai (Mr.Honesty ) BJP has given 1000 each to voters in Aravakurichi. G_B_ 1

Circles within bjp i interact in have written off both seats you mentioned. Not heard much talk on either seat. Re Senthil Balaji pulling resources, i heard something similar in thousand lights and uday drawing cadre for chepauk. Dmk cadre have been told to ensure 80% for uday. This means thousand lights might be closer than what many think. Does not surprise me that Senthil balaji is taking resources from other seats.
