Gollum Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 Link Both Shami and Jaddu will miss the Eng home series now. Aussies need to injure Bumrah, Ashwin now and Poms can hope for an upset next month. Don't care about this series now, just need to injure a few Aussie players. Adamant, Real McCoy, express bowling and 7 others 7 3

Gollum Posted January 9, 2021 Author Posted January 9, 2021 Kuldeep, Nadeem will get their chances at home. Still Jaddu, Shami are beasts at home...lucky English batsmen. Cricspin 1
Ankit_sharma03 Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 (edited) without Shami, Umesh , Jaddu....the relentless attack looses its grip Bumrah , Ashwin , Siraj....need the 4th wheel now . High chance it will be Kuldeep/ Nadeem Edited January 9, 2021 by Ankit_sharma03 RAZPOR 1
Ankit_sharma03 Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 (edited) Has anyone seen Axar patel bowl in domestic or A games played in India ? How close is he to Jaddu , i have seen 1-2 spells only in home condition Edited January 9, 2021 by Ankit_sharma03
Forward Defence Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 Great. The weekend keeps getting better. If Eng manage to win Cummins should be MOM Cricspin, nevada and Indwin 3

I am still puzzled at how they can relentlessly bowl that length and get the ball into the body, while our guys with similar pace are not able/willing to do it. Is it too much effort, and given that we are already short on bowling resources, don't want to risk an injured back or something?

I still have hope that our batsmen will hunker down and pull something off. If RGS can do a Viru and Gill can stick around for 150-200 balls ... yeah the coffee hasn't kicked in yet :-).

I was surprised to see Bumrah bowl 16 hostile bouncers in 18 balls in the 2nd practice match. Both Bumrah and Shami bowled long spells and hostile bouncers in that match and expended energy while Starc and Cummins were resting. We injured Pucovski and Conway in the practice match and Burns in the first test. But our pacers are looking tired in the 3rd test 2nd innings. Now it is left only to Bumrah to injure and frighten the Aussies. The absence of Shami and Umesh is not helping either. This trio could have done this. On our last Australian tour, both Bumrah and Shami injured the Aussies ... but Bumrah needs a hostile pace partner now, which is missing. Saini has the pace but is still too raw and lacking confidence. Edited January 9, 2021 by express bowling Mosher and RAZPOR 2
Frustrated Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 I could not find any news article on latest status of Ishant's injury. Hopefully, he would hv recovered before Eng series. We need him badly.

Injured quite a few Aussies. With 2 rookies in the team now, Bumrah is not going flat out. And the rookies are not there yet in terms of hostility. A fit Shami or Umesh would have helped. And yes India din't want to over exert due to an injury crisis. Aussie batsmen are mostly short too but they are good at sucking short balls. Their tailenders are tall so it's a little harder to bounce them I suppose? nevada 1

Firstly, it will take a huge effort from bowlers to even restrict them below 329 and then a monumental 4th innings chase from this batting lineup.. I will take a rain affected draw, plz

The Aussies are trying to market the height factor but a 5'9" Shami has a much better bouncer than a 6'4" Hazlewood. Quote Aussie batsmen are mostly short too but they are good at sucking short balls. These Aussie batters of 2018-21 are pretty poor against good short balls. Quote Their tailenders are tall so it's a little harder to bounce them I suppose? Yes ... but Bumrah has dismissed both Starc and Cummins with quick bouncers. And hit Hazlewood and Starc on the shoulders. Edited January 9, 2021 by express bowling Mosher 1
