he also played on road pattas in 2000 era.

He also played against world goat spinner. Warne, murli,. Good spinner  saqlain , macgill, vettori, swann ( pujara also played), Kaneria. Today india playing against only one spinner lyon ( avg 32). We didn’t even play Pakistan. ( against yashir shah & ajmal).

On Pattas. I repeat. Flat roads.

Puji would do well there too.

Your own word just pattas, flat road. Murli avg 22 on road & warne 25 . Just imagine if murli & warne playing today , his avg would be 12 & 15. And if lyon bowling on those patta , his avg would be near 40

No he wouldnt. He would get carted. Teams have better analytics to work him out. Heaps of tapes. Besides he is a chucker.

Puajara doesn't struggle vs leg spin. He would thwart Warne.

Anyway it's all conjecture.

Spinners will never be a problem for someone like Pujara. He is one of the best players of spin.

In today's world, Murli would have been banned. Pre-doosra Murli was as ordinary as they come.

But older generations batsman already played him, so add 10 run in those batsman avg who played against him in particular match

Dravid is better to watch aesthetically and has the other gear once in a while which Pujara doesn’t.

Pujara has his utility in how own way too.

Different types of players that get compared only due to their slow strike rate.

Pujara is actually a much enhanced version of guys like Shastri who played great % defensive cricket

Great comparison with Shastri. I agree. Pujara is in the moulds of the old classical batsmen. Dravid was a treat to watch. But they cant be compared.

Better analytics doesnt let you tonk bowlers better, kiddo.

Murali himself said that he found it easier to dismiss the newer generation batsmen once T20 came around than the older generation in test cricket, for the newer generation doesnt have patience.

Dravid hands down. At one point he was known as best batsmen in the world and in England 2002 you simply couldn’t get him out. He had international respect and admiration and would always be one of first names on a world xi. Like srt, He ruined his reputation/average a bit by carrying on for too many years. Dravid had a low strike rate but that was not as unusual for those times. Aside from Aus, has Pujara done that well in SENA? South Africa aside, remember Dravid as very good in SENA. Let’s not forget Eden gardens.

It does as gameplannimg and strategizing to outwork a specific bowler makes it much easier.

Take boxing for example. It's easier when you are able to analyse someone's game and pick up on it. Utilize your strength to pick them apart by finding flaws in the opponent's skillset. Same applies in cricket.

Patterson will be worked out for Murali. Besides Murali always got carted in India.

Besides I am talking about tests. Murali always struggled in India.

Dravid had a pretty poor record in South Africa too iirc.

Besides in drvaids era, India used to play lot of tour games before a major test series. Most times India were scheduled to play long formats first as a priority which makes it easier to acclimatize

Pujis era is different. All 3 formats are equally prioritized due to monetary reasons. There is a reason why short formats are played first when India tours now.
