But, until then, don't say somebody criticizing Modi/Shah in SM is getting arrested like it is an everyday thing happening. Every day, 1000s of handles have been spouting abuse on Modi in MSM, SM, IM, WaPo, NYT, but all this will get him elected for another term, that is all. I am not praising everything he is doing, but as Farhan Akhtar says, itne log usko dobabra vote kiya to, kuch na kuch sahi kar raha hoga! Look a the rural dev indices in last 6 years. It is not like it is all bad only. Equal number of people have been arrested under UPA under sedition laws than under NDA in the last six years. But, in all of the cases under the last 6 years have been related riots, violence, anti-national activities or for hurting anti-religion sentiments that could lead to riots. NONE have been for abusing Modi/Shah/BJP.

There is a law in India to not hurt religious sentiments (all religions, not just Hindu), but it was till now used for anti-muslim statements like Kamlesh Tiwari and look what happened to him.
