Good!

Leftists are already coming out with a variety of cards. Some of them are listed below

  • 21 Year old kid
  • Woman
  • Daughter of Single mother

They'll conveniently ignore the fact that she collaborated with Khalistani group Poetic Justice Foundation.

Also, I doubt she's 21. She looks closer to 30. Maybe all the hate inside has made her age badly.

I have mixed opinion on using sedition to arrest in such cases. I'd have questioned her for any planned conspiracies that amount to sedition. But this case, it looks like they dont seem to have  a case other than she edited that tool kit which is not a case. But if police have found any proper evidence, then it makes sense.

It's just to get her to sing and name others. She will be let off but the police will have either names.

Police are going after the money trail and she's just a useful idiot. She will name the next person in the chain and then that person will be brought in.

It's good.Might serve as a warning in the future.

That toolkit spoke of genocide of farmers.

The most worrying (but known) aspect to come out of this is that environmental nut jobs are very often hardcore leftists at heart. They will pimp their primary ideology above everything else, even the environment. Its like majoring in leftism with a minor in environment.

A farmers protest should not be any avenue for environmentalists, especially when one of their demands is to burn stubble.

The truth is that India has had a huge environmental push in terms of renewable energy under the Modi government. Rather than acknowledging this and working with the government our pseudo environmentalists are busy plotting against the government in matters which dont concern the environment.

India does IMO need to push to be greener. But this movement needs to be apolitical which will not be impacted by bias.

Radical environmentalism is a fundamentalist, absolutist religion.

Nikita, Shantanu, Disha created toolkit doc, aim was to tarnish India’s image: Delhi Police

The Delhi Police on Monday claimed that Nikita Jacob, her associate Shantanu and Disha Ravi, who was arrested on Sunday, created the toolkit doc on farmers’ protest which was shared by climate activist Greta Thunberg on social media. Disha then sent the “toolkit” to Thunberg via Telegram app.

Addressing a press conference in New Delhi, Prem Nath, Joint CP (Cyber Cell), alleged that their aim was to tarnish the image of India. The police claimed Disha, who was arrested by the force on Saturday from Bengaluru, sent the “toolkit” to teen climate activist Greta Thunberg via Telegram app.

Nath claimed that Disha deleted a WhatsApp group she created to spread the “toolkit”. “Disha , Shantanu and Nikita created and edited the toolkit. Disha sent the toolkit to Greta Thunberg through the Telegram app. Disha deleted a whatsapp group which she created to spread the toolkit. Due procedure was followed during Dishal’s arrest,” Nath said.

He added that the police had conducted raid at Nikita’s house on February 11, and she fled the next day. Divulging more details, he said, a woman named Puneet who is based in Canada connected these people to the Pro-Khalistani Poetic Justice Foundation. Police said on January 11, Nikita and Shantanu attended a Zoom meeting organised by Poetic Justice Foundation in which modalities were chalked out.

The irony is that the solutions they propose are not sustainable, and will drive people into more poverty and low productivity.  They have romantic notions of how food and energy production must go back to the good old days.  At heart, they are blindly anti-corporatist and profit-making is anathema to them.  So much so that even when a technology offers environmental benefits, they fight against them.  For instance, they eschew nuclear power generation, which per unit of energy generated is the cleanest form of energy.  They don't accept that low-density, unreliable electricity from solar and wind come with their own trade-offs and cannot be the sole solution.  If they were truly interested in zero-carbon energy generation, they would discuss nuclear as part of the solution.  Same with food production.  By intensifying agriculture and increasing yield, we can spare more land for natural areas and biodiversity.  But they push for less productive, more land-using forms of agriculture because they are ideologically opposed to using synthetics, even when they are more sustainable than natural inputs.  Once again, their ideology, not true sustainability, is the only thing that matters to them.  They are obviously not the ones doing hard labour, pulling weeds and living the life of a subsistence farmer.  As long they get their elitist needs of "organic, artisanal, romantic" food they seem okay with it - with no regard for how unproductive and land-consuming, and thus unsustainable, it is.  It's like they like to keep people impoverished so that their desires to relive romantic notions of the past are fulfilled.
