Rahane - 36, Pujara - 29, Kohli - 29, Agarwal - 34 (even with a big 200), Gill - 34, Vihari/Shaw/Saha < 20. Only bright spots are Rohit - 55, Pant - 46.5, Sundar - 66, and Jadeja - 58.

So? what is your point.

How many tests they played what kind of pitches they played ,all play important role in their diminished returns.

They are not going anywhere in June or England series.

the thing is that the  trio has been inadequate as a group for a while now due to various reasons... Now, with WTC final in hindsight , there is no other way  other than relying on them.

Have to agree. They (and a better opener than Gill) were the different between India getting scores that were just enough against a mentally frazzled England team, and the massive 400+ scores you expect India teams to post at home

yes, of the top 5, 4 were horrible this series. we were very lucky to have the likes of pants, sundar, and ashwin bail us out.

said this before dont have so much also for spinners in home pitches after a point it will start affecting batsman avg at home. Overseas anyways it wont be that great
