not simultaneously. 1 or even 2 of them having a bad series is okay, but all 3 at the same time is pathetic. it's just like Ind's geriatric band in 2011 in Eng/Aus, but at least dravid did well in eng.

It is not pathetic at all, it happens. If this continues then it is a problem. I don't think it will happen again so there is nothing to worry.

the only thing pujara is consuming is lbws. if NZ play santner (which is a big if), he will fall quickly by thrusting his pad out in that ungainly fashion.

yes, let's keep this excuse on hand when 3-4-5 fail miserably against the kiwis. they are all not just in horrible form, but all of them have very worrying long term declines.

I wouldn't be so confident. Kohli and Pujara are averaging in 20s in last 10 matches. Rahane in mid 30s.

He played Lyon pretty good, plus Lord’s won’t spin much

Actually not that many. Even Rohit, Virat, Pant, Ashwin, and Sundar have faced more than him. Even pope, lawrence and not to mention Root........... and all of them scored more runs at a higher s/r as well

a combination of declining reflexes, complacency/arrogance, and technical limitations. all three have been doing poorly for a while, not just 1 series.

 

Our batting averages in the last 10 tests are pathetic overall. With batting like this, chances of winning are greatly reduced.

Rahane - 36, Pujara - 29, Kohli - 29, Agarwal - 34 (even with a big 200), Gill - 34, Vihari/Shaw/Saha < 20. Only bright spots are Rohit - 55, Pant - 46.5, Sundar - 66, and Jadeja - 58.

They are best we got, you either sink or swim with them. So stop overreacting for minor blips. Pujara played key role in winning the greatest series 4 tests back.Kohli and Rahane will be fine come June too.

I think May and June will have tracks that assist seam movement. Its not just the grass but also the climate. If its gloomy, cold, and wet, we are more likely to get prodigious seam movement. NZ have the seamers to exploit the situation. Unfortunately, we don't have the knowledge to exploit it as much as them even though we have quite a strong bowling attack. And considering our senior batsmen's form, it doesn't look too promising. Pant may have too much on the plate
