I think they will manage through curfews and restrictions like how UP has been. Expect the number if cases to be less than 100,000 in next couple of weeks.

For sure. But I think they will manage through restrictions. Mix of vaccine plus mild restriction to navigate through June and July. 
 

By July end we should have close to 45 cr vaccinated.

in the remaining states with high covid positivity rates TN is emerging as a major source of concern.

 

Situation is turning for the good in Karnataka and West Bengal.

 

TN there is a dip but not to the degree anticipated.

We do not have a common interest. Nations are the function of the civic sense. Cohesive, high trust  societies prosper. Divided, low trust societies remain poor and low standard.

You can't keep people at home forever. It's better to not live than live like this. Life is meaningless if people have to live this way. For a limited period, it's fine but you can't expect it to go on forever.

Why the antagonism? Your cousin is not likely to contract the virus for roughly the next 2-3 months. His family is also safe. I am guessing he has a negative viral loading certificate and can step out.

Going to other people's homes he isn't breaking the lockdown.

He isn't a threat. He is not at threat. 

What do you expect him to do? Vegetate at home indefinitely?

See i dont expect him to be a vegetable at all. Just some civic sense.

 

By all means go out for a jog get some exercise for the next month or so when the wave declines in maharashtra atleast or step out to get some groceries etc. The apartment complex in which his family resides does have a swimming pool which is operational.  booze as well if you want at home. Nashik which is 180km away still has a high positivity. We are in no way out of the woods.  

 

You are assuming the others at these parties only have people with antibodies. By holding or attending these parties one of his friends might infect their families. 

 

In today's era you can watch enough streaming, browse the internet , learn something. Staying at home is certainly not a death sentence. 

 

We were doing just that in the uk ( no exceptions) from Jan to March. We survived.  I am sure he can as well. Just one more month. Its not a life sentence.

My in-laws went to in-house engagement party, with 20 guests. Both are vaccinated, but still a lot are contracting even with vaccines. Reason: they have no other elders to bless. Apparently. Blessing remotely don’t count

I have been doing that since March last year. But my life has always been like that :) Not an outdoorsy guy.

TN has been surging since APril. A steady increase. Hope the lockdown brings it down. I have far too many relatives in Chennai and in the neighboring areas.
