Aptly put, captains and coaches these days are so much "data driven" that they trust on what stats says instead of the logic. "matchups" these days are the fantasy word and every IPL team seems to follow it blindly without thinking about the variables. There is word for that in Hindi "lakeer ke fakeer" deepdynamo and express bowling 2
Lone Wolf Posted May 15, 2023 Posted May 15, 2023 200 -220 is being breached constantly despite playing so called safe option line length trundlers. I don't see the point in Data analysis. Gujrat is a team that can be tamed with High express pace. Umran toyed with them last year. express bowling, tapandrun, Mosher and 2 others 5

Jay Posted May 15, 2023 Posted May 15, 2023 Guys this is not good. Not good at all. Bjoobi getting a 5fer. He is a fraud. Hope the management actually watched the game to realize how poor his impact was. deepdynamo 1

He has every chance to play in 50 over WC in India, they will shrewdly give him a back door entry into the squad in the name of injury cover, replacement etc etc and regularly play him in actual matches without him making any impact and eventually like many a times he will screw us "high stake match" like he's been doing for 6-7 years Vk1, express bowling, tapandrun and 1 other 4

singhvivek141 Posted May 16, 2023 Posted May 16, 2023 3 hours ago, Mariyam said: 5>3, even off paper. A 70 in the knockout game holds more value than a 100 in the dead rubber. Pant's 89* in Gabba was much more crucial than his century in England in 2018. Similarly taking wickets upfront usually has more impact in the game than getting in death, as it pushed the opposition on the backfoot at the start itself. This was one of the criticism Shami used to face earlier, he used to pickup a lot of wickets, but only during the death overs, that was era of 2013-2015 when Bhuvi was regarded a better potential than him, because Bhuvi will pickup 2 wickets at the powerplay while Shami will pickup 3 wickets once the opposition score is 300 plus. deepdynamo, Mosher, Need4Speed and 1 other 4
