As projected, major spike today.  Primarily driven by Kerala, UP and Bengal.
It seems Maharashtra is under testing too.

I think we are in a 2 month battle. Oxygen situation seems to be improving. Let see.

Still not in favour of a lockdown. It will sink us beyond repair.

Mumbai has been showing downwards trend inlast 3-4 days and their arent many stories coming around of lack of beds n all , just few. But remains to be seen how many test are being done

The key indicator now is deaths and hopsital bed occupancy.

The tests have become unreliable now. RT-PCR test is failing big time.

False negatives of RT-PCR is fairly variable in the first 4 days of symptoms and ideal to test it from day5-day8. I think after day4 panic will start and we get tested. I had symptoms for 3-4 days and went to get tested. Came negative. But on anti-booties and strong cough syrup, all symptoms subsided from day5. Also, in India, the RT-PCR tests are not reliable for double mutated Indian strain. They need to upgrade them. Some expert here might chime in.

With symptoms of lingering cough, one should also get CT-Scan of lungs as well. It shows if they have upper lung injury/infection. It seems based on the amount of infection and comorbidities. they give a Covid score. If the score is above 20, then if they have Covid, they will be bound to be fatal. This came from a Dr friend. The following paper has some results, have to study.

Please be careful about that. One CT-SCAN has a high radiation dose. There are 4 blood tests that are more than enough.

Of course, when recommended by a dr only

So a personal anecdote only. But we did this. I think it has to be done only if you have symptoms. Only if you experience shortness of breath or you have a high CT value, consult your doctor.

It’s has to be very selective. Lockdown has intense second and third order effects. We cannot afford one.
