I don't buy that. He always moans like he's giving birth when he plays a shot but his opponents are the ones who are most likely to be hurt. He'll be fine. Federer looked cooked at the end of R3 but he wasn't grunting as much as Djoker. The only guy who could beat him at Wim is Federer but he is nowhere near as fit as Djoker. Even if Federer happens to meet Djoker, he will be reminded of how tough it is to outlast him physically and on top of that mentally. I'm hoping Federer meets him at R4 or something when the grass is slicker that will help Federer's attacking style of play.

If you look at today's match. Tsitsipas took his chances in the first two sets and was able to win them. then he tried to play safely and that played well into Djoker's hands. You cannot out rally djoker. You have to take it to him. Nadal will be crushed that he was beaten at his own playground and doesn't possess the serve like Djoker to trouble him. Only chance of Nadal winning the Wim is if Djoker gets out someway and he gets to vulture another slam. I think Nadal's chances at Wim are lower than previous years

Djokovic can still run into a servebot like Querrey in 16. He can run into Isner-Querrey-Opelka-Kyrgios-Cilic(last person to beat him on grass). Also, I think the earliest Federer can meet Djokovic is QF since they are both top 8 seeds. A QF showdown is definitely possible.

One would also take into account his motivation level after completing the DCGS. Similar thing happened in 16, when he won the French Open , only to go missing for the next two years.

so what is the total slams of the top3 now?

Federer-20 (6-AO, 1-FO, 8-W, 5-USO)

Nadal-20 (1-AO, 13-FO, 2-W, 4-USO)

Djokovic-19 (9-AO, 2-FO, 5-W, 3-USO)

Djokovic the only one to complete the double career grand slam(win all the major tournaments atleast twice).

Fake fed fan spotted. If you want Nole to win, you can support him openly like the other nole fan. Federer said he is only looking for Wimbledon, not liking his chances in RG, not even confident of playing successive games, taking one game at a time. he was scheduled for a night match and it took him almost 4 hours to finish it. He knew the grass season is more important than a loss somewhere in RG. It was a smart decision. Only a fake fan will consider this as an insult. Hop on the Nole train and don't even say you're a Fed fan you bandwagoner.

You don't decide whose fan I am :whack:

Made myself clear plenty of times, and you know that.

Being as objective as I can. You can't treat a GS as warm up or experiment, if he had doubts about his physical fitness he should never have entered and played Stuttgart instead which overlapped with second week of RG. He wasn't injured or tired beyond recovery, otherwise he would have quit against Koepfer to protect his body, that way the young German could have entered R4 and good for fans/organizers. Even Berrettini was hard done by, lost rhythm because of the long gap and clearly undercooked in 1st 2 sets against Nole. No way to justify what Fed did. Once he entered he had no right to act like someone bigger than the game.

Federer has a combined 5 Walkovers in his career. 2 of them after the age of 37. One because of poor scheduling where he had to play two matches in a single day.

He has zero retirements in his career.

Djokovic has around 16 combined walkovers and retirements. Similar with Nadal as well.

Federer always gives his best when going on the court. When he withdraws it means he's tired, or doesn't want to risk injury because of age.

How is this worse than Nole tanking after securing YE 1, last year? He blatantly said he didn't give his all during Vienna. Djokovic has tanked several times in his career when he felt not mentally upto it. Also, Nadal did the same thing, withdrawing from SF against Shapovolav in Paris SF, just because he doesn't want to face Nole. He played WTF the week after with no issues.

Guys like Tonic, Paire, Kyrgios regularly tank and just show up for paychecks.

Nadal also skipped a grand slam stating tennis should not be played during the pandemic, only to play FO the week after.

The big 3 are all privileged and have done things according to their needs, and to get their way. It's just Federer has done it the least.

What happened to kyrgios. He was hyped a few years back.

More interested in gaming, basketball and trash talking fellow players on Twitter. Will peak for one small tournament a year and go missing the rest. He has the game and mentality against top players, but because of his indifference to other matches, his ranking is low and he draws top seeds in early rounds, so he never goes far in major tournaments.

As a Nadal fan, this is painful to say but Djokovic is clearly the GOAT compared to the other 2 given the double GS slam, better H2H record and #1 reign. It will take something significant from either of Federer or Nadal (4-5 slams each over next 3-4 years and a sudden decline by Djokovic) to change this view which is being shared by experts and fans.

2011 RG SF was Fed's greatest blunder. Should have let Nole handle Rafa in the final, huge missed opportunity to dent Rafa's aura in Court Philippe Chatrier.

what has Nadal done to you that you want other two ATGs to gang-up. conspire and bring him down? :giggle:

But you would never say Federer insulted the sport. If you were being honest, you would say Djokovic and Nadal had insulted the sport plenty of times. Nole retired in USO19 when he knew he can't beat Stan. According to your views, Djoker insulted the sport but you defended him that time. He has insulted the sport plenty of times before lol. You are saying I can't decide your fanhood. Then you can't determine Federer's condition as well. Maybe he just felt tired and risked injury if he had continued :noidea: You suppoerted Nole in 19 and you're criticizing Fed here. That tells which fan club you belong to  Just admit it. I can't believe how many Nole fans I see on the tennis forums pretend to be Fed fans and are jumping ship now. Its like Sidhu jumping from BJP to Congress. Such hypocritical :p:

Don't trust possumovic. He will act like he's flopping, just to go for a bathroom break and come back to trash his opponents into the dirt. Happened on quite a few occassions this FO. What miracle potion does he drink in those intervals :--D

He will be well motivated to win the Wim. That's why I said he will moan like he is about to retire mid match but will come back to win the match. Many of his fans attribute this to his "mental toughness". Nobody talked about this stuff before Nadal and Djokovic. Its all about mind games they play on the opponent.
