play him regularly he ll be ready in time, with experience n challenges player become better

His 1st job is to score runs, 2nd have an impact if he does those 2 he can be hidden in field. We hid bumrah in field in his intial years and in that 2016 phase we also had nehra , ashwin n yuvraj to hide in field

international cricket is not a training academy. Then we should look into Mayank who is more ready than Shaw for T20 atleast.

their is nothing called readymade player....every player improves with time

Mayank in his chances has looked out of place in t20 and he brings nothing new , Mayank or even gill bats with same tempo as others. Reason to look at someone like shaw is coz he has that tempo that gives us a fiery start and puts opposition off their plans. Mayank , gill bring nothing new which dhawan was already doing, in the case ill stick to dhawan

And neither you get readymade players straight from domestics, even Rohit got better and better the more he played

You need to have eye for prodigies,Rohit,Yuvi were Yuvraj , Rohit were mostly awful in start of their careers but got better when they were continuously backed

Shaw falls into that category you can't just let him go,its not either profecy that he will definitely come good, but there is high chance of that becoming reality

I do agree Shaw is an exciting talent and still raw but things like technique etc he might be able to learn from mistakes but fitness and fielding are basic as it gets. Look at this England approach we keep talking about, a hack like salt also looks supremely fit and is a live wire fielder. All English players till no.11 are fast between wickets and tremendous athlete. You can’t make fun of Pakistan for playing Sharjeel and Azam Khan and give the same excuse when it comes to Indian players. Obviously Shaw is way more accomplished than those guys but just an example.

That applies to technique and say new skills like a new variation for a bowler or adapting to a new condition etc . Not for fitness and fielding which is as basic as it gets.

This is why the CT defeat hurts. In this day and age even if you are 3-4 down, 320-330 is not a tall task by any means. We just laid down except Pandya.

Team was playing in the personality of the captain, just bottled it in every aspect in the finals

There are couple of more such chokes to come yet lol

I am usually not big on conspiracy theories, but somehow feels that surrender was on purpose to oust the coach.

That’s the sad part. You would think maybe just maybe Kohli would mature after becoming a father but now he’s fighting with the selectors for the squad. more misery to come until Kohli is captain.
