Boxers from Central Asia and Dagestan region of Russia are lethal, even mma fighters like Khabib Nurmagomedov was number one for a long time.

Those guys are tough enough to give Muhammad Ali, George Foreman and Mike Tyson a good fight.

Thoda zyada ho gaya.

Night match in hockey today, India's first night match while GBR will have experience of the heavy conditions. Ball tends to fly fast under blazing hot sun. Slight advantage to GBR because they will be used to conditions. Stupid scheduling, there were 5 matches in pool stage, they should have rotated them in such a way that all teams got game time: morning, noon, evening, night conditions. India, Japan, Germany are the 3 teams out of the 12 that didn't play a single match at night , do organizers lack common sense?

Looks like clear cheating. GBR has more influence over olympics. even though they can't win as much as USA or China, they always vulture enough medals to pile the jokes back on the places they have robbed like India and other countries. it will be a sad day if we lose to the great make benefit nation of britain. angrezi saazish

And they are also good at roiding. Infact famous. Half of khabibs team-mates were busted for PEDs.

Give satish some roids and he will smash this Uzbek.

@Gollum They could play the QF now itself, no? why schedule night matches :noidea:

Perhaps goras don't want to start a match in hot/humid conditions

Yea through imported players. True white pasty Brits can't dominate in any sport except for a select few like Tyson fury.

That's the problem with super heavyweight

Satish is 6ft2 and today's Uzbek opponent was 6ft7, also at least 10kg weight advantage. Skill can't compensate for the physical difference, at least things are more even in lower weight categories, physically. Just 3 rounds, so these giants won't run out of gas.

Don't know man. Our players have this knack of being servile to Brits in hockey. Let's see.

It takes a little more than an hour. They could have both matches in evening with sun shine. I guess sun wouldn't set before 8-9. 9 pm local time is ridiculous

10 kg at heavyweight is nothing.

Cain Velasquez smashed high level wrestler Brock lesnar when he at a 25 kg weight disadvantage.

And no spectators, what's the use of having matches so late?

I said at least 10, pretty sure it is much more. Can't find their weights anywhere.

Don't matter. After a certain point weight makes mo difference.

Greatest heavyweights have always been around 105- 110 kilos.

Some exceptions are nganou currently in mma and fury who is fat at 120.

BCCI can't handle bhikharis like CA and ECB in ICC boardroom. You guys think IOA can move a paper clip in IOC?

We lack ruthlessness, and have severe complex because of our colonial past. China knows how to bully the West in the highest governing bodies, even Russia struggles but China always gets its way. We must learn to be bullies, stop feeling conscious about what rest of the world thinks about us.

Excellent post sir ji. This is the truth. Just need to be ruthless. Enough of this nice innocent guy bullshit.

Also Indians don't like to see other Indians succeed in general tbh. There is no unity.

BCCI handles CA and ECB quite well even though you hear constant whines from them and their commentators and fans. In cricket, there isn't much of a competition apart from Sena. Maybe in LOIs you have WI thats it. The man who pays the piper picks the tune. Our IOA has limited budget or even if we did, it goes into politicians pockets. It can't bully others. Maybe it makes a case of privatizing the IOA like BCCI and remove the sarkari babus from holding positions like sports minister

yep agree with you on paper but how will a private organisation like IOA in that case raise funds? Do any of you go watch these Olympic sports? How many times are major comps held in india ? And if they are do tv companies pay for media rights? But why would they? No ones interested in supporting the athletes that way. BCCI only makes money due to there being a mad obsession with the public over cricket which equates to eyeballs and which equates to tv revenue.
