Felt GB girls were lot fitter. Our girls made silly mistakes.

yeah but really good potential. if invested well and resources provided, can medal in paris.

Won't say about ladies. But our men's hockey team can win Olympics gold and WC only if umpiring is fair. Cheating is so blatant in favor of goras, almost impossible for us to overcome that.

Man this Golf is becoming really interesting. Aditi can be silver or bronze easily. Hard to vatch up to Gold. Also we don’t know if there is going tk be a game tomorrow due to hurricane so next 45 minutes could be really interesting.

Who are medal prospects now?

Bajrang in wrestling, Neeraj in javelin. Aditi Ashok (golf) as well which could be a big big surprise.

The fact that we are coming so close in so many events, heartbreaking as well as encouraging. Previous decades we would get one surprise medalist and one or two surprise finalists.

Expecting 10+ medals in Paris.

Not really. You need much more stamina in cricket for test cricket. hockey yo yo test scores are high because they are running all the time. They develop good cardio naturally during the game itself. Cricketing stamina is different when you at times have to field for two days in heat in Indian conditions.

I have never ever seen an unfit hockey or tennis or football player (except maybe goalie in hockey) but have seen a 100 unfit, fat, cricket player at the highest stages

As of August 2, 2021, Aditi Ashok is ranked 200th in the world rankings. She made the cut for Tokyo 2020, as she was ranked 45th in Olympic rankings. She was previously ranked 178th in the rankings, however, her ranking has dropped in the past month. https://thebridge.in/golf/aditi-ashok-golf-tokyo-olympics-24105

@Cricketics the fact that she is hovering in the top 3 is quite a feat, no? Considering her ranking. Even is she doesn't medal this is a valiant effort by Aditi.

Korda is world number 1, leading here in Tokyo.

Indeed it is. Golf is similar to test match where you start again every day so you can’t just sit on your day 1 laurels, you must keep working on your lead Aditi has done that over 3 days. She did not slack. She is tied with 3 people at 3rd spot.

A top 10 finish in Golf means great as all top 10 players generally have a point or two difference only. So this is great for her in general but I hope she gets silver or Bronze at least here. She has a great chance, not just decent chance.
