Indian newbies like Shaw, Kishan, SKY, Chahar deserve all the hype.

Shaw did not achieve anything in odi or t20.  Agree with the rest.

India did not underestimate the opponents may be some fans might have done. They wanted to give chances to players on the bench in the last ODI which was rendered meaningless. The experimentation was done randomly, which was evident. 

Regarding selection, I have not followed Rana's List A career, I always thought he was just a back up option for T20 matches. But as luck would have it, he played an ODI as well. 

I firmly believe India has decent talent pool but at the same time done expect them to be world beaters at once.

That's based on seniors stepping up.They all tanked.Even yesterday we could have won until that Bhuvi over.

 

Agree about rest of the post. Some undeserved selections who got to play due to Krunal.

I don't have much hope for Koti now,he looked so ordinary in two ipls he played

Mavi just returned from a severe stress fracture and was out for almost 2 years,had been bowling well within himself but does give good shape to the ball,he is on the radar,hope he gets back his pace

Showed us what aggression at the top means and could do. A refreshing alternative approach to our tried, tested and boring template to LOI cricket. Very disappointed with his poor fitness levels though

Based on past trends, the WT20 squads have to be announced at least a month before the tournament. Which means the cut off date this time will be 16th September. IPL starts only from 19th September. This was the last chance for players to out up their case. Now only chance Dhawan has is through nepotism and his friendship with clown

 

 He will still make it cos ICC will allow more players to be in team due to COVID, . They won;t risk cancellation by allowing only 15 players per team. Shikhar will sneak in based on so called "experience " , "King of ICC tourneys"  & what not - you will hear from Akaash chopra , VVS , & so many other So called experts !
