Lol no way in hell should we play all four of Ishant Siraj Shami and Bumrah in the same team

Cricbuzz saying India in all likelihood will go with 4 man pace attack after what happened in WTC final.  Siraj is locked in.

Question is Is Shardul among the 4 pacers or not?

Shardul HAS to be there, we can’t have 4 batsmen in the lower order who struggle to hold the bat. I’d go with an Attack of Shardul, Siraj, Shami, Bumrah/Ishant

Shankar was playing TNPL I think.  He should have been on the plane as backup guy at least.

Issue was Binny was picked for same reason jn 2014. He batted really well but couldnt get a wicket.Dont think English batsment would get out to medium pacers they play day in day out in counties. So if that would be the case better to play Vihari and let him bowl 10 overs and reduce load. Better batsman. If he gets a wicket like he got in aus 2018 its bonus.

Oh come on Shankar isn't the solution,

We actually need Hardik Pandya fit and firing and maybe even Shardul can perform that role if he focuses a bit more on his batting.

Shankar is not bad. Can hurl it on a fuller length consistently which is exactly what you want to do on English wickets. He also has decent technique to eke out 20-30 runs in the back end of the innings.

The biggest issue with shardul is he plays away from his body. In aus india you can get away with it, but in trentbridge, headingleys of the world you are just a sitting wicket when the ball will swing at the last moment..what rathour needs to do is shore up this aspect .. btw kohli was exactly this in 2014 in England..

Shankae is the solution. He is perfect for these conditions.

Jaddu over Ashwin because of his improved batting (LHB as well), electric fielding. Also we needed Ash to keep Stokes quiet, with Stokes out of action->edge to Sir.

Ashwin's current form perhaps is the reason he is ahead.  With the bat there is definite resurgence.  Looked assured & better than Jaddu in WTC final.

Shankar would be useful only if he could feature in the top 6/7 in the batting order, ahead of Pant. His bowling is at best CDG level, so barely a holding role in Eng. Anyway no point in debating over wishful selections or scenarios, you can almost bet that if  God tried to hand the series on a platter Brat would be like :motz:

Kohli fined for showing middle finger
