We all know that Pujara and Kohli have been pillars for Indian batting for over a decade. In SENA, guys, in form are doing nothing much here. In Aus, even a 50% Pujara hit 3 50s in last 2 tests.

What you are showing here is that an inform Rohit and KL are barley avg 40. When an inform Root is averaging 60. Just hit 2 50+ scores in 7 innings.

 

Making India rely heavily on a 50% Pujara and Kohli

Root is on a different level. you can't expect someone like KL and Rohit to match up with him especially since their position is not so sure as rat will come up with some excuse to drop them. They are still averaging close to 40 while the flop 3 are in 20s and important person less than 20. your logic fail

Pujara and Kohli are in the similar league as Root, serving as Ind’s pillar of batting. 
 

In form guys like Rohit and KL cannot give India an edge even in their best form

 So far Jadeja has been picked to bowl effectively against left handers, specialist batter. I guess in the next match, he will be picked as specialist fielder. Kohl’s’s geniuses is a gift that keeps giving.

Kohli is the captain so he plays, if he is removed from captaincy and new captain wants to kick him out that is fine but until he is captain he plays. Pujara scoring that useless 91 will hurt this team for long time.

The point people forget is Kohli is one who has 70 plus international 100s , so anyone who has to be backed it is Kohli among the middle order. But I would take captaincy away from him , I don't think he is going to win anything as a captain. ICC test finals was his last chance but he flopped miserably there.

For all his agression gimmick he has no guts to go with an untested player.

Even when an experienced player is inefficient, he is scared to experiment.
