UPDATE: England vs India Manchester Test cancelled

Espncricinfo predicts a weird XI

Will Ashwin finally get a game? Does Ajinkya Rahane have any more lives left? Is Rohit Sharma fit? Questions aplenty for India, and that's before you consider their final training session was cancelled amid concerns about a potential Covid outbreak. Mayank Agarwal is on standby to open if Rohit can't overcome the knee issue that kept him off the field for day five at The Oval, while Hanuma Vihari lurks in the shadows should the management hand Rahane his papers. Ravindra Jadeja is also nursing knee problems, with - wait for it - Axar Patel in line for his first appearance of the tour. Where does that leave Ashwin? Well, he could be still involved, despite the "template", as Bumrah seems set to be rested and Mohammed Siraj is also carrying a niggle.

India (probable): 1 KL Rahul, 2 Rohit Sharma/Mayank Agarwal, 3 Cheteshwar Pujara, 4 Virat Kohli (capt), 5 Ajinkya Rahane/Hanuma Vihari, 6 Rishabh Pant (wk), 7 Ravindra Jadeja/Axar Patel, 8 Shardul Thakur, 9 R Ashwin, 10 Mohammed Shami/Mohammad Siraj, 11 Umesh Yadav

Yes agree...I meant Eng only. Not sure about Scotland but good to hear masks are still mandatory.

Hmm disagree, stats does not correlate with the above statement. Scotland currently has the 14 highest Covid rates in UK, source attached below.

Btw, here is a video from the infamous book launch. Guess what? It's not just Kohli-Shastri, but a good chunk of the squad that was present at this event. Sky commentator Michael Holding was also present.

Yea, I'm calling BS on the cricket boards not being aware of this event. How can BCCI not know that so many of it's contracted players were attending?

This looks bad, BCCI relenting in matters of player safety and ECB arm twisting.facking angrez

The BCCI also put out the option of cancelling the final Test, but the ECB is understood to have made it clear that it would interpret any refusal to play as forfeiture.

All this because of that MoFo Shastri forcing players to attend his own book launches. Sala Haramkhor should be sacked with immediate affect if he’s not informed BCCI about organising his own book launch events and forcing players to attend it.
