SA won 2-0 @Lord https://www.espncricinfo.com/series/sri-lanka-in-sa-2020-21-1237354 yes I was thinking of 2019 one, where Kusal Perera played that knock. Didnt know they toured twice in 2 years as its not normal. Still we should be strong favourites.

urbestfriend Posted September 9, 2021 Posted September 9, 2021 Boring...With the current set of players, SA series is dampener.

ash Posted September 9, 2021 Posted September 9, 2021 If we fix our middle order issues, this is going to be one sided. Their bowling attack is arguably better than England, but their batting sucks.

Eng has great record in SA.. I remember after 4-0 thrashing against us in 2016.. They toured SA & won 2-1 against a strong SA side. 2020 was just brutal Eng won 3-1 vs new look SA side that we will face. India should win but hopefully we don't drop a test.
Norman Posted September 9, 2021 Posted September 9, 2021 Make no mistake this is going to be a tougher proposition than England. South Africa has a stronger batting lineup than England which's pretty much Root or rot. And their bowling attack is perfectly capable of annihilating us if we continue with the same 3-4-5. Rassie Van der Dussen is going to be a pain in the ass. Underrated batsman.

Even against SA teams which were very very strong we never had 2011, 2014 last 2 tests, 2018 lords test kind of performances. Both Indian bowling and batting will enjoy sa conditions more than England. I expect bumrah to average like 15 odd. Perfect conditions for his back of the length bowling.

Gill Shaw Abhimanyu Vihari should feature there. prepare? Sheron ne kabhi prepare kiya hai? Watch.. all of Brat's chamchas will want to play the LoI leg of the NZ series and not spend time acclimatising to SA conditions.

He was best equipped of all indian batters to bat there besides dravid .
Suhaan Posted September 10, 2021 Posted September 10, 2021 India should somehow bring Prasidh,Avesh/Tyagi to the fore for SA Although Tyagi is raw but he will surely trouble SA
