Should India play defensive and stack up the batting for the 5th Test ?

No matter how many batsmen we stack, we don't have the batsmen with technique to play out overs. Maybe pujara (but he gets bogged down) and maybe kohli in his prime but not now and rohit sharma till he reaches 50. All others need to feel bat on ball and play strokes, they dont have techniques to play for draws. Can you imagine rahul, rahane, pant, pandey,  current kohli, etc playing for draw?

No never play defensive. Leads to a defeat more often than not in any sport. England in the Euro final being a recent example

+1. Also, this English side is so weak that anything less than a 3-1 scoreline would be unacceptable.

look at the colour of the side pitch ,reminds me of australian unprepared pitches with high clay content ,which means they have to dry it out to make it quicker as it retains more moisture.

Pitch looks very close to the one we saw in Leeds..  It'll probably have high moisture content.  Cloud cover will only make it more useful for seamers.
