everyone form dips at some point and someone who captains 3 format n IPL its a lot of burden , it takes mind away from owns game .

When u start ur captaincy everyone is excited n energetic but after a point it becomes hectic n overload. Has happened to most in past as well

 

His focussed mind which was his biggest strength is now divided into others things being a captain. He has been captaining since 2014-15 now.

Gill struggled v seam. Was out before spin came in. Otherwise was comfortable vs spin.Should play in middle order.

 

Replace the other 3 and runs will come.

Gill has to be in the playing XI..  I don't know how but he should get into test match mode before crucial SA tour. 

He has the perfect technique & strokes to make merry on those SA pitches...  They are fast scoring grounds & solid backfoot stroke play is needed. 

If Possible Gill should be send to that A tour prior to that series as well along with Shaw. 

Any tom dick n harry will smash NZ in India..  Get Mayank in there..  He would end Ajaz Patel's test career. 

 

1st Test vs SA..  That's the real deal in Fast bouncy Joburg.

Agreed..  Hopefully Prasidh gets a debut game there.   Shaw Gill Prasidh should be on that Plane to SA for that A tour before tests which would be very helpful for them. 

 

I'd like to see Avesh there as well but he will be better off playing ODI & T20Is vs NZ at home.

Entire series was a massacre, can't even complain about pitches. 

 

Second test (Kolkata) was a green top, Bhuvi destroyed them, Saha scored 2 brilliant unbeaten 50s and took home MOM.
