Lord Posted September 23, 2021 Posted September 23, 2021 Dhoni was a consolidator in last 2-3 years. Other names : Sehwag Gilchrist McCullum
maniac Posted September 23, 2021 Posted September 23, 2021 Rohit sharma. How can you forget the name. ABDV is another guy

How is a man who strikes at 130 in t20s in current era be called a consistent striker even his odi str rate is just 89. He picks up his str rate only when he reaches 100, most of the times.

Record for the most 6’s in both T20 and odi game, pull up the list of the guy with the most 6’s across all 3 formats in the last few years. He is the most consistent 6 hitter in world cricket right now. sorak 1
Serpico Posted September 23, 2021 Posted September 23, 2021 Didn't know kapil dev had the best SR in 80s!

Adamant Posted September 23, 2021 Posted September 23, 2021 Dhoni? Not at all, he consumed too many balls before going gung ho. Top 10 according to me, Richards Dev Lloyd Gayle Sehwag Afridi Gilchrist De Villiers Buttler Jayasuriya. Sgattick10 1

Without a doubt he is the most consistent six hitter but his str rate combined with the way he plays makes it difficult to characterise him amongst trailblazers like Richards, Dev, Afridi, Jaya. He uses a way more measured approach.

That wasn't a negative till 2019 but I am not even talking about whether it's a better approach or not We aren't arguing here about who has the best approach, the question is who the best strikers are and you can't call a player who strikes at 89 in THIS ERA a great striker. Prithvi Shaw is what I will call a good striker.

Why would I look at strikearte on a thread discussing 6 hitters? anyways as per your above post Without a doubt he is the most consistent six hitter Thread title The biggest consistent strikers in the history of the game What exactly are you arguing about again?

Yes going from ball 1 I would put ABDV ahead, no doubt.
