  1. 1. Is it fair to drop Shreyas to accommodate Rahane

    • Yes, senior Rahane might eventually win it for India from a tricky spot
    • No, that will be greatest scandal ever in Indian cricket

That's what Jaffer is suggesting, dropping Mayank although with Saha opening.

Does this Hahane hold every Indian cricketer's black money + honey pot secrets or provide them some very pleasurable service(s) ? Cannot seem to figure any other reason for the unconditional support.

There’s an unwritten rule in Indian cricket, some veterans mention. Senior players get extremely long rope… it’s like a pension system while non-performing at work.

There comes a time in every senior cricketers career, if dropped won’t be able to make a comeback. Hence Atleast 5 years is allocated to those to sort out their alternate career or means of living at the expense of young talented players and ofcourse Indian cricket…

It is important to know what is Rahane's future with this Indian team.

As of now it looks like Rahane is still in their plans, especially when it comes to Away series like SENA etc.

Taking those into consideration, dropping Rahane is not going to be that easy.

My personal take is that they may want to drop Pujara, as he looks woefully out of touch and his innings are actually hurting the teams cause rather than contributing to it

Shreyas will get another game, and they will find a way out to accommodate him

i don't think Rahane will ever be dropped for performance, if he can still play after averaging in 20's for good two years then he can continue doing for another two years.
