Well done. One thing I like about PCB is that off late they have started backing inconsistent but X-factor players like Fakhar, Rauf, etc in LOIs and it seems to be reaping results. While our lot are sticking with the same tired old journeymen bunch and losing left right and Center

Yes, great job done by them

Things are looking better for Pakistan since the dark days of Misbah era are gone. He was the negative and bad influence on the team. Ramiz Raja is a very progressive and energetic guy, will end up as the best PCB head ever.

mashallah tabdeeli!

Sorry, couldn't help it :)

Looking at how cocky pak fans have been acting after this, you'd think they've won a world cup , Test series' in all of SENA, and 10 Olympic golds. :giggle:

I didn't see this much chest beating when they actually won a title in 2017.

Congratulations to the winners and to Pakistani fans.

Now in 2022, when most likely we will have Indians (mostly our oldies) dominating because we play so many T20s and Odis vs WI, SL, BD, SA (at home), do not complain of it being BCCICC or cry about weak opposition. If I am not wrong we are playing some 27-28 T20s (including the Asia Cup if it goes ahead and the T20 WC) and 20 ODIs.

I'd rather we give opportunities to younger players and build our future than oldies expectedly dominating and winning these ICC awards next year.

Can't blame them - its been a long suffering famine of mediocrity for them, and finally there are some glimpses of hope.  To be honest, its quite a bit premature, but really can't blame them.  How long will "tailunted" fans stick with pessimism.  If Morons in India can get excited with a couple of badly designed roads and bridges, why can't greenbros get excited over a couple of T20 wins against good teams.

I do not know much about Pakistan Cricket but apart from t20 WC which was decided on toss, what was contribution of these players in Corona infected year, Specially against top sides like England Australia And India?

there are so many of these that it's not even funny - it's just plain sad instead

Yeah that's true. PCB took the pressure to support players like Fakhar, Asif Ali, Haris Rauf, Haider, Khushdil, Faheem, Hassan & co. India is failing to utilize efficiently the talent coming through. For example, there were many new players added during the past few years, now many of them are forgotten. Not sure if they're unavailable due to other issues but one has to admit they're not used properly. Also, the premature debut of players on performance in a single season of IPL or any league certainly becomes a problem in the long run. V Iyer is an example. I'm a strong believer of playing only picking in national only those who have played first class. In case they are not, rare it is when some are not exposed at the highest level & that requires a next level player.

It seems the dark days of Misbah era has been transferred to India (under Dravid).  India is performing exactly the same way right now.

Dark ages? Indian fans can be seriously fickle minded, just one bad test series and dark ages already :phehe:

About Pakistan, let them win a test match overseas first before hyping them up (Bangladesh and Sri Lanka don't count).

When they were not included, it was cheating and PIG3, be consistent and this was been in and out covid year so take with some grain of salt

I agree , Pakistan has to achieve a lot more before they can be considered a top tier team , but now they have a chance to improve. Under Misbah , as a captain , selector and coach it was all doom and gloom.
