Sean Bradley Posted January 24, 2022 Posted January 24, 2022 This has been Pakistan's year with so many great individual performances, but sadly the trophy cabinet is empty and test rankings are nothing to write home about. Lord, mishra, Swag and 2 others 2 3
maniac Posted January 24, 2022 Posted January 24, 2022 Credit where due, all 3 deserved the award. In fact Hassan Ali has been trolled for his semi performance but he is turning out to be a very good cricketer too. I rate him very highly. They have some really top class players. nevada 1

Man that guy looks unstoppable when he gets into the hitting zone almost Rohit level but with a far lesser range. He just stands, picks the length and starts hitting. Vijy and Lord 1 1

Axl100mph Posted January 24, 2022 Posted January 24, 2022 (edited) This is a defining year for Pakistan cricket. It has laid the foundations for a new era where we have finally come out of the shadow of the faulty, glorified superstars of the 90's. Babar, Rizwan snd Shaheen have risen as the first set of superstars after Afridi retired in 2016. We have seen how the whole 2000's and 2010's generations were poor and inherited a rotten, corrupt culture, which resulted in the dark age of Pakistan cricket. However with these 3, i see things going a different way. Let me tell you why. They are world class at their trades, have zero ego issues, feed off of each other instead of looking for individual notoriety, have exemplary work ethic and most importantly, like to lead by example. Add to this; they are clean characters who have their priorities right, unlike some Mavericks from yesteryear. How fitting is it that each of them are leading a seperate department on the field. What this does is it sets the culture for the cricketers to follow. Fast bowlers, wicket kerpers and batsmen all have a present world class individual role model to emulate. In times to comes I see them not only riding from strength to strength but also inspiring their peers to become the best cricketers they can be. Great times to be a Pakistan fan, after a decade and a half of mediocrity. Edited January 24, 2022 by Axl100mph mishra 1

I think you have some baggages in your team and their mediocrity is not getting exposed because you have three players playing absolute best along with some supporting role players. This will be exposed in most likely next ICC tournament where teams will come prepared and exploit those weaknesses

First class Posted January 24, 2022 Posted January 24, 2022 Things are looking better for Pakistan since the dark days of Misbah era are gone. He was the negative and bad influence on the team. Ramiz Raja is a very progressive and energetic guy, will end up as the best PCB head ever. Vijy 1
CricWizard Posted January 24, 2022 Posted January 24, 2022 Would you believe that Shaheen Afridi is only the 3rd bowler to get the ICC Cricketer of the year award? The 2 other bowlers who got the award are Mitchell Johnson & Ravi Ashwin. Vijy 1

QuarantineTormentino Posted January 25, 2022 Posted January 25, 2022 Well done. One thing I like about PCB is that off late they have started backing inconsistent but X-factor players like Fakhar, Rauf, etc in LOIs and it seems to be reaping results. While our lot are sticking with the same tired old journeymen bunch and losing left right and Center nevada 1
Frustrated Posted January 25, 2022 Posted January 25, 2022 It seems the dark days of Misbah era has been transferred to India (under Dravid). India is performing exactly the same way right now. Vijy 1
