was watching WI vs Eng game today.. most of the sixes hit by WI went very far.. not just against spinners but against fast bowlers too..

wonder which of our guys can clear it that far effortlessly..  Rohit for sure.. Pandya may be when he is in good form.. who else? likes of Dhawan/Kohli/Shreyas against fast bowlers? no.. you dont need to hit it that far to score but if you can hit long sixes on a regular basis you can create a psychological fear on the bowlers..

Dhawan is not a six hitter. Kohli can hit. But his type of execution won't far. Mostly they go flat as he uses his wrists.  Hitting 80 meter six against seamers is not that hard. If you use the pace you can even hit 110 meter six. I think Yuvraj used Brett Lee's pace to flick for a 119 meter six. Hardly any violence. Just mere flick.  Against Adam Zampa Iyer hit a 111 meter six at the SCG.

Honest answer is rohit and maybe pant.

Pant when connects ball travels a long way. But he is yet to master the art of combining power and timing.

In the last 2 years, we've hit most number of sixes in Test matches (courtesy Pant, Rohit and Lord Shardul) but in T20Is, we are only better than BD and SL when it comes to six hitting. Rohit still does his bit (29 6s in 13 matches) but others hit at most one six per match largely due to the tone set at the top by Dhawan, Kohli, Rahul - none of whom are 6 hitters and prefer to bat at 125-130 SR. Worst thing is none of these batsman look to step out vs spinners. Pant's inconsistency in LOIs hasn't helped much

ODIs we are a lot better as Rahul, when batting in the middle order hits 6s (but bot when batting at the top), Pant hits a few when he clicks.

the large no. of sixes is also probably partially due to mayank, who is a beast against spinners when playing in india.

Rohit is a good six hitter but what good it is when you still strike at a rate lower than Kohli and average is not evem comparable also Rohit has failed in each and every t20 world cup?

But yeah in terms of hitting big sixes Rohit, Rahul, Pant and Pandya are the contenders.

Pant definitely the best amongst them

Not in the last 2 years. Gill has more 6s than him in this period!

If the filter is of 3 years (series vs WI, BD and SA in 2019 gets added), Mayank has 23 6s. If only he could replicate that home form away from home as well!
