Don't think she was out of form. India needs more power hitters like her. not just power hitting (which gardner can do even better) but combining high SR with high avg in WCs. Lanning does that over entire career, but kaur seems to do her best in WCs. Link to comment
vvvslaxman
Australia utterly destroyed NZ. Vijy 1 Link to comment
Vijy
basically there is a huge gap between Aus and rest. One of the finalists will almost surely be Oz, and the second will be one of NZ, Eng, WI, SA, Ind Link to comment
vvvslaxman
So far well. Yastika is timing the ball well. Her problem generally is finding the gaps. Link to comment
vvvslaxman
Yastika missed a straighter one. Not sure if her make-shift role as opener is working. They are expecting her to be a slogger. Link to comment
vvvslaxman
Mithali's useless world cup campaign continues. Do we have SENA filter in women's cricket :) Vijy and sage 1 1 Link to comment

Jay
Indian women's cricket team is a joke. Indian women are just not sportive enough. They lack oppourntities due to poor parenting. Thanks in large to antiqated Indian parents that only insist on focusing on education alone. Vijy 1 Link to comment
LordPrabhzy
Ghatiya campaign so far from Indian women... thought the 2019/20 WC meant standards are improving. No indian players in the Top 10 ODI rankings apart from pensioners Mithali ( Batting) and Goswami ( bowling) Link to comment
putrevus
Mithali is just a waste of spot. She neither can bat time nor can bat with power. Edited March 16, 2022 by putrevus Link to comment

However, India continue to waste time on Mithali for "experience", could have persisted with Jemimah instead. Link to comment

It will be a miracle if they make it to next round. Vijy 1 Link to comment

Our men's and women's teams seem to have the same set of primary and kit sponsors. Interesting that the sponsorship contracts are drawn in this manner. Always thought that BCCI had two separate set of contracts for the sides. Link to comment

You cannot have over the top expectations considering India is still a middling side in women cricket. Link to comment

vvvslaxman
Finally Mithali made some runs after a top order stutter. India's run rate 5.05 with 12 overs to go. Harman & Ghosh are in. Link to comment
Lone Wolf
Harman needs to drag this over 250 somehow. Eden Park is small & Australia will be favorites regardless Link to comment
