I wanted Patidar to be given a try but they would like to keep a limited set for odi wcup.. unless Patidar has a breathtaking IPL season..it will be difficult for him to pip any one else from odi team.. Instead of playing Srilanka they could have created 2 Indian teams have a series between them. Link to comment
Sooda
Patidar should be given a chance in LOIs Would have had him ahead of Tripathi in the queue Link to comment

Lone Wolf
Clash of two domestic titans... Patidar wins the initial battle courtesy superior India A & IPL numbers. Already has a ODI debut to his name in SA. raki05 and tweaker 1 1 Link to comment
Frustrated
Both are good. But Sarfaraz needs to reduce weight. Is too fat. Can he field? Looks like mini-Azam Khan to me. Edited January 24 by Frustrated raki05 1 Link to comment
The Realist
Heard a piece from Jarrod Kimber and he says that Khan's fitness/physique is seen as too poor for him to be selected for international level. Link to comment

Yea. it also speaks about his dedication. His brother in comparison looks okay atleast now. Frustrated and raki05 2 Link to comment
Need4Speed
Sarafaraz had discipline issues in the past against him.. in any case..irrespective of the stats..form..Patidar looks more international quality to me.. tweaker 1 Link to comment

putrevus
So who will you blame here bozo Dravid or selectors. They did select Patidar in the squad but he does not get a chance as this moron Dravid wants his pet KL to play as a batsman. Lone Wolf and Frustrated 1 1 Link to comment
vvvslaxman
Sarfraz is also heating up the competition with an 160. But he must realize without losing weight he is not getting anywhere close to the selection. tweaker 1 Link to comment

He should have looked after his fitness in the off season . But if he is agile on the field ,can bat longer his fitness should not hinder his selection in the team nevada 1 Link to comment

For starters he has to reach the level of his brother atleast. He looked similar in stroke play plus he can bowl. I sense Mushee may play for India before Sarfraz. Link to comment

I realize fitness is an issue, and people have alluded to some attitude problems in the past but man ... maybe he does deserve an opportunity. People mature with age, so maybe his attitude problems are behind him. Also, he and Patidar can't do much worse than Gill or Iyer at this point. And it might light a fire under those guys to have some legit competition. Edited January 26 by BacktoCricaddict tweaker 1 Link to comment

Hopefully Rajat is a solid slip catcher like Gill though (only thing he is supposed to be good at these days. Link to comment
