vivek04
Indian bowling is massively overated. bowling 1 -2 tight deliveries and then spraying rests is of no use. No one is consistent in line and length. Also select fast bowlers who have height to extract bounce right now we have filled with average height players. And for england the real test begins when they tour outside and the pitch behaves the same way as 5th day to see their bazball. Link to comment

vvvslaxman
They could have named it Beetroot Bairstow+Root. These are the two why they win. If these 2 fail bazball will burst. Two players in supreme form make it happen. Tattieboy 1 Link to comment

If they can get wood n archer fit for series down under it can be fun England can compete against the Aussies only in England. They will get thrashed in Australia with their one dimensional bowling. Bazball is great but only the batting mindset has been revamped and the bowling remains as is. Link to comment
Bigg Brother
Next Ashes is in England..Would be great contest. If master Smith is in form, all the Bazball will be taken care of,the guy can mentally exhaust any team.... Link to comment

Bigg Brother
Now Van der Dussen and Steven Smith have given their opinion about Bazball..I think it is being discussed in excess for no reason. It might be because of how pathetic England test team have been performing since last 5-7 yrs and this sudden rise of such poor team has been surprising for some and now many are thinking that Bazball might be the remedy to transform your test performances but that is not the case. Warner, Sehwag on song have played with better SR then this. It is not like JB did it overseas and wn it like Pant or Kushal Perara. Still not sold on JB performing outside England. As Smith said if there is some grass on pitch and If you are facing Hazelwood,Cummins,Starc then we will see how this Bazball pans out.. Link to comment
Nikhil_cric
This season has seen less swing and seam since ball tracking began in England. It has moved at times but when it stops, it completely flattened out. The Dukes ball has not been as conducive to movement because of quality issues. The real litmus test for Bazball will be when England tours Pakistan. Link to comment

The English pitches still had pace to allow such strokeplay. The Pakistani pitches were quite slow, albeit flat, so such extravagant shot making won't be possible. Also I don't think Pakistan will make the same pitches against England. Australia would've thrashed Pakistan if they made spin friendly tracks as well so Rambo and co. gambled on flat, slow highways. They will be more confident of making such tracks against England. Link to comment

vvvslaxman
Honestly it doesn't have to work everywhere. I like the attitude of Stokes. He wants to make the tests entertaining. All the power to him. Amidst guys like Pujara, Brathwhite that is a breath of fresh air. sage and Vijy 2 Link to comment

tapandrun
V.small sample but have to say this Eng side putting their money where their mouth is. This is meteoric change in Test cricket. There is one thing is saying that we will play aggressive cricket and may be able to do that at home, but following this back by actions is command-able and trying to do same in away matches. Yes the pitch was not supporting the bowler but this same attack was considered the best bowling attach in the world just few days back. Everyone scoring over or near 100 sr every bowler going for 6 or more per over. Sorry to say but there are teams like Ind that says we will be aggressive and all those things and come the moment come the match they descend. For them its upto 1/2 player to play positive cricket, such has been the Game plan that Ind openers play out maiden over in T20 pp. Edited December 2, 2022 by tapandrun Link to comment
