Commonwealth Games, Birmingham 2022 - Women's T20I Competition (29 Jul- 07 Aug)

Honestly before the match started I did not expect India to win this game today. Women's Aussie cricket team is super dominant and this Indian team is a work in progress.

What I wanted to see is a fearless fight and a high effort game.  So far Indian women have delivered that.   Not perfect, but they fought hard against a dominant, powerful Aussie batting unit to come back and restrict them to 161.   With the bat our 2 best attacking batsmen were dismissed early without scoring much, but we are in with a chance in the 14th over.  The team has fought well.

With a bit of luck, and some brave execution, they can even win this.  Let's hope they do.  Even if they don't, I am happy to see this level of competitiveness, and heart, from a team that's not quite the finished product.  As a fan, you can't ask for more.  You can hope, but there is no rule out there that says that our team should win every game in sight.

Not going ok this. Need boundaries

himmat rakho, boundaries coming hopefully.  I am thinking over #15 or 16 could be a big one for us, we need a solid 15+ run over to get us over the hump....

Jemimah is not build for hitting. He is like Rahul Dravid who can sweat it out and build partnership but not good for hitting.

She would be great in ODI and longer formats.  T20 she can be an anchor but needs bad balls and good 'rhythm' to find the boundary.

Also, not sure if you guys are aware, but she's batting with an injured wrist right now.  So cut her some slack.   She's fighting, this is the time for "fans" to be supportive.
