Ashwins selection is Iffy, whats the purpose?

Ashwin last year during the wc was not a bad option even if it didn't work out. It is possible they got fooled by his ipl form into thinking he can contribute with the bat now too.

Left arm spin is his biggest problem basically the ball that comes in.

his performance have been good ever since his return . Since his return his eco is just around 6

Opening bowler kon hoga....  PP mai I guess spinner ka use hoga 100%.   Jadeja is 1D...  Which makes me think ke shayad Ashwin khel jaaye ahead of Bishnoi. 

I'd have played Axar over him as Riz & Babar are right handers bowled Axar at them in PP. 

Tactically squad mai kuch weakness hai.  Bumrah out has left a huge hole in PP.  We will manage in death & Middle overs.

yes he was a full all phase bowler , so anyways that was not going to covered but Avesh is not a strong bowler thats the problem . 

With harshal gone now we have one weak bowler 

 

In case of Bhuvi-Arsh-Harshal it wont have been a problem since bhuvi can be used upfront with hardik n others and death wud have been taken care by harshal-arshdeep. Now its avesh who cud kill us in any phase

Arshdeep 1 over daalega at max...  Over no 6 like in WI series.  Baaki Middle & death. 

Max 2 pacers hi khelenge looking at spin heavy options.  Hardik 3rd pacer hai. 

 

Jadeja in PP is a proper tukka...  Length poor hoti hai uski but weakness toh hai Babar Riz ki.

Selection of Jadeja, Ashwin, Avesh and of course the obvious eleph.. rat in the room. 

 

Non selection of Axar, Deepak, Siraj or any other decent pacer than Avesh.

Ashwin ko isi ke liye toh liya hai..opening option hai..

 

Powerplay - Bhuvi, Arshdeep, Hardik, Ashwin

 

Then in middle - Yuzi, Jadeja, Hardik, Ash

 

Then in death - Arshdeep , Bhuvi

Bowling seems to lack the go to bowler without Bumrah. It’s funny that Bhuvi is still the leader of the attack after so many years.
