I think it was costliest TV show till date in Indian history.  Ajay Atul cooked with the bgm.

 

Looks ,graphics were the main factors but they nailed Draupadi Shakuni and Shree Krishna.

Duryodhana was terrible and they made Karn a tragic hero unlike in BR Chopra one.

I disliked it mainly due to Duryodhana. Also some incidents were twisted like Lord Krishna showing his viraat roop to Duryodhana. In this he sees Krishna everywhere 

 

The looks were also far better in BR Chopra one. Here Bheeshma, Dhritarashtra looked like clowns

One trick pony - chhekna chillana aur maar peeth against the system. Yes , I liked him in Ghatak. Also, as a Bavy officer in Darr, he did a good job too

Arjun, Sohni Mahiwal, Betaab, Tridev and Chaalbaaz are movies where Sunny shows some range.

 

He is a good actor, far better than his unidimensional father IMHO. Perhaps the only son of a superstar who managed to outshine his father in Bollywood.

The OG Roop ki rani choron ka raja had Raj Kapoor.

Meh! Dharmendra is much more talented, acted and n a variety of roles including comedy (Chupke Chupke),  dramatic and action roles and much more good looking. His acting genes kind of under utilized amongst his kin

Some years ago, I was at a prayer meet. Sunny Deol also attended the condolence meet. He was a serving MP at that time and had an array of bodyguards around him. All of whom towered over Sunny. I'm around 5'5 / 5'6 and he didn't seem much taller than I. Not very different from SRK/ Salman , I guess.

 

His brother and son/nephew are quite tall. Or at least much taller than him.

AB stole the show there. Most of Dharmemdra's super hits are multi hero films where he has been outclassed.

 

Can you name 3 Dharmendra movies where his performance left you wowed?

Most obvious is Phool aur Patthar. That was the advent of his stardom isn’t it ?

Come on, you have memory issues. The whole movie was based on Dharmendra and Om Prakash chemistry that worked f=great for the movie and Amitabh had a insignificant role similar to that of Asrani in the movie. 

 

There are many movoies when Dharmendra had memorable roles - Satyakam, Haqqqat, Anupama, Bandini (smallish role), Seeta Aur Geeta (he did better than Sunny Deol's wooden role in Chaalbaaz , a remake of Seeta Aur Geeta), Mera Gaon Mera Desh, Ghulami, Dost, and most recently in Johnny Gaddar, Life in a Metro, etc

 

His best was in Razia Sultan where he acted in a lead tole as a Ghulam/Slave from Africa - with his face blackened  :phehe: Or in Dharam-Veer where he actied the whole movie in a kind of frock-skirt with no pants at all :hysterical:
