SKY edged a six. Intent was there.

Rahul could have got out anytime. Could easily have been 15 off 35 and that'd been bad

Yeah all SA top order got out showing intent. If it comes through it is called intent, if it doesn’t it is called bad shot selection or temperament. You gotta have luck on cricket

SA's batsmen got out trying to play normal T20 cricket on a limited scope pitch/conditions. Ind batted with the knowledge about the pitch.

SA was also playing its first game after landing in India, whereas Ind is playing its 4th consecutive T20 in India (add Asia Cup in similar conditions)

In T20 you gotta be positive. Luck is needed but you do what you can control.

Without SKY's knock this would have been close even if Rahul batted throughout the innings. You'd lose mostly with that approach anyways

This was am excellent knock from SKY. Pressure was immense as he had seen what KL, Lolhi and Rohit were doing. He played sensible cricket, got big shots against pace and spin and also rotated strike. He would have chased down 140 if he had to.

Agreed we don’t need three anchors in top3 but unlike wt20 2021 , at least two are not trying to be too timid. If we lose two wickets in PP one has to bottle up and MO has to play risky. No use abusing top3 all the time

Yeah, but India was trying to win to avoid 10/4 situations . If two of top 3 fails the other has to play anchor like Kohli did in the first Asia cup match against Pak when even Sky failed. Batting high risk like Sky gives India results in bilats and non-KO matches , but we don’t want all to bat like him to fight for an award of a National Treasure

First of all, there is nothing about top 3 having to stay (time to get those concepts out of the head). Additionally, bilaterals are about pushing yourself (and providing enough challenging situations for your team esp. before a key tournament so even being 10/4 is not really an issue).  KL could have been out on multiple occasions. He was simply struggling to get moving (could score a few as the bowling attack was being softened by the other batsman).  Even to support other batsmen, you still need to play at a certain rate (despite getting a few shots in, KL's SR < 100)
