India can play Ashwin as 5th bowler and use him at top order like RR did in the powerplay.

 

Shaheen and Naseem thrive on early wickets in powerplay. Ashwin can extend our batting till 7 if he bats higher( obviously that is in a scenario where we lose early wicket).

He is someone good enough to take a spot, but not indispensable. Cannot win matches, that's why gets criticized, but almost always goes economical.

Match total was 160 means 8 RR , his eco was still under 8. On bad days if u can still escape this well u arent hurting team much 

 

We all know how much bowlers go on their bad days, some go at 15 eco ...............and in the end his batting did came to use. Had it been chahal well .......

his fielding was bad but that is known with ashwin , its not chahal wud have made a difference in field 

 

When he got beaten even axar got beaten, reason Asif ali picked them from hand...........once u do that u ll be successful against spinners

that's good enough. He has variations so can still be useful.

As a fielder him and Chahal are in same bracket. He just a bit better catcher than Chahal.

did okay in warmup v Aus. Ashwin did well too.

Axar cant be be dropped since he plays SLA and Leggies well , unless we play pant and still u can play both 

Axar wont have such bad days every day . In Aus conditions he is 6th bowler and pandya 5th so i wont take much load. He ll show his value soon

Axar is safe. There are many top batsmen who can be restricted by sla spin. Today was a bad day.
