IMO they were the best team last year in UAE, despite losing the toss in SF it took a miracle for Aussies to get over the line. Terrific T20 team, their selectors have good foresight. Also a very watchable team courtesy their bowling unit.

Hence shows that how much one player with a refreshing approach can make a difference to the morale of the side, i personally feel that Haris's inclusion has been the back drop of Pakistan's resurgence, that cameo against SA has been the turning point for Pakistan in this tournament. We are still stuck with DK for donkeys years when we have so many youngsters with great calibre waiting in the wings. eg. Patidar, Shahrukh Khan, heck we even missed Shreyas Iyer with the current form that he is in.

Both at SCG.  Lost to Zimbabwe at Perth.

 

The positive like ct2017, was that due to the early loss to India, they made changes and got their team composition in place. Haris has been their trump player just like SKY is for India. The addition of wasim is not bad either.

They will drop one batsman and play an extra bowling allrounder and that alone should make them favorites in the group.

 

If they get it right they are still the most dangerous team in the tournament.

 

Only thing that they need to watch out for is taking the foot of the gas against Bangla, Ned and Zim. These minnows can spoil anyone’s party including Indias but Pak are usually capable of implosion against weaker sides .

 

If they qualify for semis, they are winning this.
