The fact that there is no unbeaten team in this tournament shows that international cricket is healthy at least in this format with no real standout side. 
Favourites change depending on conditions. 

T20 leagues are levelling the playing field across the world.

That's been fairly obvious for a while now, the shorter the format the more chances of an upset & part of the reason why (test) cricket is dying & ODI's probably gonna be relegated to second class even more!

No standout T20 team....  Yes...  

Overall Australia & India are still standout cricket teams right now across formats. 

 

World cup in Australia has levelled the playing field.  Indian team is marred with Poor selections.  Pakistan is tad unlucky their selectors are quite sensible overall. 

 

In ODI I'll go with 

Aus India SA as top 3 ahead of Eng & NZ.

This is better than batting second getting the advantage.  As far as venue goes , if the surface doesn't suit you tough luck. You should have an all round squad covering all the bases.

SA did very well until today, that is the standout team for me, may be one bad day.

If they get knocked out in their home ground this will only reinforce the fact that Australia win last edition was a fluke

If this world cup was played in better conditons ( regular Aus pitches ) - no rain, no too much swing, assistance for spinners it would have been different. Pre tournament favorites would have fared better

venue. SCG.  Two members missing.  Maharaja/Miller. If there is only place you play Mahara that is SCG. They botched it up. On a pitch where Bavuma has a strike rate 195 lol SA should have cruised through. All they had to do was see off Shadab.

A team's performance depends upon a variety of factors including selections (including accounting for injuries), form of players, conditions, & opponents faced.

Largely true but I think Zimbabar and MagalaWan are generally a class apart when it comes to:

 

1) Batting second when there is a lot of dew

2) Associate teams in UAE

3) Magala, Lizzard, Banabamba and Chubaka in their backyards so that they can pad their away averages.

SL could still surprise Eng. Theekshana, Hasaranga can take out the hacks Eng have. They just have to get Buttler and Moeen out.

Disagree. Current indian bowling lineup will struggle to defend 180 on flat tracks . Cue asia cup vs pak and srilanka.

TBF Pakistan did well too, close match against India and impressive win  against SA, that Zimbabwe match made it worse. I am very much confident that they will thrash Bangla tigers.

T20 cricket is anyway like a tie breaker in Tennis or Penalty shootout in football. Unless there is vast difference in quality, anyone can beat anyone.
