True. Sanju calling Jaddu bit & pices player & latter dropped from the commentary team, comes to mind. You can disagree with the criticism but it wasn't abusive in any manner. if Jaddu who doesn't even have the clout anywhere close to Virat or Rohit is untouchable, criticizing Virat or Rohit is just unthinkable to these commentators.

jaddu has much clout with both these sooperstahs, and they probably could have put in a word here and there
