Thus team would’ve struggled to beat a Jazbaa, Junoon, Dua motivated, eager to take revenge Pakistan in the finals. Imagine losing to them in Finals and the humiliation associated with it would’ve been scarring. Yes, this bunch lost to England, one shouldn’t forget, we didn’t even expected them with the form they were in, led by a loser Captain, whose coming from a massive IPL loss in which his team didn’t even qualified to semis. They all and we all knew this thing will happen. They overachieved by qualifying. But for Kohli’s sudden form and super innings against Paks, this  team would’ve struggled to qualify even if RSA had lost to Netherlands (I’m still unable to get my head around how they “managed” to lose to Dutch, of all teams, I suspect foul play).

 

ICC & Byju’s had done everything possible for a Pak Vs Ind finals and were ready to count the windfall.

 

A late night meeting in the Indian camp decided to not be the sacrificial lamb once again,, and decided to not even turn up against England. I tell you, ICC & broadcasters lost billions of $ because of that.

 

No matter how much Pak troll Indians, the fact is that they didn’t got chance to take revenge of our Phainty to them in the super 12 stages, now there’s a real possibility of them not even win the cup as they are facing an English side which has recently thrashed them at home.

 

So it was a smart move by a team which is actually thankful of getting somehow qualified for Semis.

 

A win on Pak in another ICC event and Eng lifting the trophy is what we should be looking for..

The era of useless Rohit is going to end soon. He’s been a lazy, uncouth, player & captain who’s screwed MI & Team India enough. Hope the new captain KeLe Rahul will bring a fresh breadth of air (expecting no Bisi Bele Bath fart in that air)…

Last one I remember is 2015 final. But IPL scorecards are generally not memorable except KOs. Far to many matches to follow.

Think he scored fifty in 2015 and 2020 ipl final so has been decent but his performance in ipl overall has been pretty average. He used to do well for india but since he took over full time captaincy his batting has declined even more after he started to play like slogger. His time is up for this format for both india & ipl.

yea. But when you compare his ODI performance with T20 performance , Rohit is very average right? Rohit is more about ODIs always.

Not many to remember. Pollard has been instrumental in winning 3-4 trophies.

Even last year world cup he would have had 3 ducks in 5 matches if not for a dropped catch.

In the hindsight now it was always a bad move to appoint him captain when he along with Kela were chief architects of our humiliation last year.

We handed him captaincy and were hoping for a miracle.
