Austin 3:!6
Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif appeared to take a dig at India after they lost by 10 wickets to England in the second semifinal on Thursday. “So, this Sunday, it’s: 152/0 vs 170/0,” Sharif tweeted referring to India’s 10 wicket loss against Pakistan in the 2021 T20 World Cup and the fact that England will now meet Pakistan in the final on Sunday. In that match, Pakistan skipper Babar Azam stroked his way to 68 while his opening partner, Mohammad Rizwan, smashed 79 as the Indian bowlers struggled to contain the two batters, who ultimately reached the target of 152 without much trouble. Their identity itself is “we are not India”. Apart from that there isn’t much of an identity. All this ummah-Muslim stuff you never hear from Arabs, Iranians, Iraqis etc so they try extra hard. IndianRenegade
Doesn’t look good coming from a PM, but at the end of the day it’s just a joke. Ignore & move on. ICT has a million problems what Pak Pm thinks of us isn’t one of them. Edited November 12, 2022 by IndianRenegade Link to comment

ICT has a million problems what Pak Pm thinks of us isn’t one of them. not really. people in such positions of power and responsibility should not be wasting their time on lame-assed "jokes". and this does not even read as a joke but as a mean-spirited, out-of-place dig from a senior politician who should not be indulging in these types of comments. I don't see, for instance, the English PM sniggering about beating Ind by 10 wkts; it is simply not good realpolitik. maybe people will say that rishi sunak is of indian origin and would not write this comment, but neither IMO would Liz truss, boris Johnson, etc ravishingravi and Austin 3:!6 1 1 Link to comment
figo6762
TBH he is technically correct .. in Butlers words “this should hurt “ esp for the players that played both those games .. the more people outside use this as agenda to drive their message , the hope is that some one within the bcci will listen .. yes coming from a PM doesn’t look good he should have better things to do … but in hope of change , I welcome more digs at state of Indian international cricket .. if this can force to bring the right people in that’s what is needed express bowling 1 Link to comment

Number
I think Irfan Pathan tweeted something like "neighbours, how was your sunday ?" It really triggered whole country for some reason. So it seems to be in response to that. Still very petty, the PM is coming down to an ex-cricketer's level in bantering. Link to comment
