zen
The world cup is only a few months away. Pak now has the confidence and the team to do well in Indian conditions. Would you rate it as the favorite among Asian teams? Link to comment

It can make it to the semis if many things go its way but winning the tournament is a different matter. Pak can lose out on a SF place but if it makes it, it chances of winning the tournament would be relatively high. Vijy 1 Link to comment

Pak and even SL are mercurial, which means they have some chance of making it to SFs and beyond. Ind is the type of team that huffs and puffs their way to QFs/SFs and then chokes hard there Edited November 19, 2022 by Vijy zen 1 Link to comment

Bumrah, Shami, Siraj and Prasidh/Arshdeep as backups. Spin is concern. Rahul and Dhawan are concerns. Link to comment

Agreed with choking and no good spinner issue. The solution of choking is to drop the chokers in the team first. Vijy 1 Link to comment
Nikhil_cric
No. I don't think so. Let's not confuse T20's and ODI's. They are a good ODI side but it's not clear that they are better than any of India, England or Australia. These blokes nearly lost to Nethdrlands in this format not too long ago . Their Raufs and Shadabs haven't done anything in ODIs in the recent times. Edited November 19, 2022 by Nikhil_cric coffee_rules 1 Link to comment
First class
I don't think so, India is still ahead of Pakistan in ODI, here is my ranking 1-India 2-PAk 3-SL, 4- BD 5- Afghanistan , no surprise . Looks like India is taking it very seriously about the weaknesses they have to cover and hopefully Bumrah will be back , their bowling will be much better. Pak batting is very weak and not expecting selectors will take is seriously. Vilander 1 Link to comment
the don
India shouldn’t pick a defensive bowling lineup and they ll do well at home. For Pakistan Fakhar and Babar are massive players in Odi cricket, Hopefully Shan and Ifti can complement them well. The bowling should be fine. Nawaz is a very decent ODI bowler in asian conditions. Vilander
T20 and ODI are different formats. low iq thread. OK bye. coffee_rules 1 Link to comment
Bigg Brother
Babar, Imam, Fakhar,Shaan,Rizwan. No hitter but still that's solid batting order. They can score par score easily with this batting and Hopefully no return of Shoaib Malik and they are good to go for wc with the bowling attack they have... Link to comment
cricketfan28
England and India are the favorites. Paks probably the 4th best after Australia./ Link to comment

khadekhademaaro
India at home will be best placed amongst the Asian sides, no matter which players are in the team. Link to comment

Lone Wolf
Pakistan is not a strong ODI side... They did struggle vs Dutch recently. But WC is in Indian conditions which will suit their spin attack & skiddy pacers. Huge question mark on batting though. Imam is a minnow basher & leg side lapadu Rizwan is pathetic in this format in middle order. Indian ODI side apart from openers isn't a bad one. Spinners are a concern... Hopefully Kuldeep has turned it around for us. Shahbaz is another guy to watch out for. Link to comment
jf1gp_1
SL is the one i was thinking. Its a young side, aggressive batting unit, top spinners - allrounders and now have 2 guys who are real quick. Link to comment
Serpico
Rauf and Naseem have to improve in ODIs. Their middle order is not reliable for lengthy partnerships Link to comment
Serpico
I think we'll easily win the group match against pak. If we meet in the knockouts though, its 50-50 Link to comment
