I am sure that Rahul will play either as a batsman or a keeper batsman. 

 

They won't drop a guy who is experienced, old, a stats padder and non-performing. He qualifies on all counts.

Don't think they will play him as a WK bat. He is made of glass, gets injured so often.

More than the form its the change in the approach, Dhawan is not looking to attack any bowler.

Fear is contagious and we have seen the example of this in latest NZ vs Ind ODIs, even SA vs Ind series.

 

All the batters looked subdued, none had an aggressive approach.

 

As for the wc23, the team will remain same as that of wc22 with Bhumra and Jadeja coming back and Sundar for Ashwin.

 

And may be Hooda will go out and they have S.Iyer into the team.

Indian cricket never learns always eggsperience over currently ability & form. Either they are stubborn enough that they carry these dead weights into the tournament like we did with KL, Rohit, Bhuvi, Ashwin & Dk in T20 WC or they suddenly drop they guy if he isn't a favorite like Rayudu just before a major tournament & wonder why the new scape goat who got thrown in the mix can't perform,

 

There is zero vision as to the kind of cricket we need to play & select a team which matches the vision, only big names & how to keep them relevant.
